We were hired for this project to renovate a master bedroom and bathroom in an adorable colonial in the suburbs of New York. The bathroom had floor to ceiling mirrors and brown marble with dated gold fixtures and was in need of a serious upgrade. After gutting the space, we put in a beautiful neutral color palette with a charcoal vanity and big freestanding soaking tub. In the bedroom, we needed to change all of the furniture, window treatments, choose new paint colors, light fixtures and accessories. The homeowner loves blue and yellow, so we made those the accent colors and molded the rest of the room around it. Interior Design by Rachael Liberman and Photos by Arclight Images

Bedroom - mid-sized modern master bedroom idea in Tampa with gray walls

These homeowners recently relocated from California and wanted to make this Lake Forest home their own. We furnished the large Master Bedroom with a striking collection from Lexington Home Brands. I love the faux tufting on the upholstered headboard and the painted gray finish and square brushed nickel hardware on the case pieces. I do not normally like all the pieces to match, but this room is large enough to handle it, and we mixed in other pieces to keep the room interesting. We painted the walls Sherwin Williams’ Anew Gray (SW7030). Since the windows had plantation shutters, we decided not to add window treatments, but achieved warmth with layered bedding and a soft rug underfoot in a geometric pattern. We decked out the cozy reading corner with a gorgeous chair, velvet footstool, mirrored nesting tables and floor lamp. The artwork is bold and beautiful! The unique accessories in silver tones complete the space. This is a Master Bedroom done right. It is a soothing space with lots to keep your interest. Enjoy!

Ania Omski-Talwar Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL, USA At 166 sq ft, the size of the living/sleeping area in this studio apartment was quite challenging. We made it work by taking careful dimensions of the space as well as every piece of furniture before purchasing. Even the height of the printer mattered as it had to fit between the filing cabinet and the desk. The busy student who lives here had two primary needs: sleeping and studying. A custom headboard was hand made for the bedroom with a textured gray fabric and silver buttons and nail heads. Above, the couple's wedding vows were painted on white canvas. Mismatched nightstands with a pair of nightstand lamps give each individual the custom storage needs they desire, while still achieving a cohesive look.
