Georgia Home TheaterThe goal of the client was to have a basement getaway like no other. In addition to their authentic Irish Pub (imported from Ireland) & classic billiard/poker area, they wanted a place that they to gather and watch multiple football games and the occasional movie in luxury while still keeping the pub atmosphere.
After meeting with the client, we designed a media retreat that met the homeowners expectations for a getaway that was easy to use and enhanced their decor.
We installed an 84" Ultra-HD 4K flat panel, flanked by 2 65" High Definition displays, each can display a different game and switch displays on the fly. The system is controlled by a Crestron Control system as well as the multiple zones of audio through-out the basement and the outside pool area. The Crestron is controlled by the client easily using an iPad with icon driven interface custom programmed by Georgia Home Theater.
This install was a success in meeting the clients wishes to have a relaxing area that was inviting and simple to use.

The storage within the wall interlocks, strategically borrowing space from one side to serve the other. The Wall neatly conceals lighting above and disorganized audio-video components below with a speaker cloth access door that allows both sound and infrared to pass through. The back side echoes the projection and serves as a headboard for the sleeping area with storage above for linens and books.

Mike Farley Pool Designer, SWD, ASLASoft lines were desired in a limited space surrounded by easements, building and pool setbacks. Simple architectural curves complemented the architecture of the home. This allowed the client to have a walk around the pool and provide maximum pool surface area. The spa side dry steps allowed access to the pool steps 18" lower than the patio. The spa provides a strong visual from the family room and balancing the project the fire bowl and rainfall provides a strong visual from the arbor, grill counter, bar and master bedroom. We added a door from the master bedroom to allow access directly to the fire pit on that cold winter night. The fire bow wall provides a screen for the utility transformer and location for the rainfall. Landscaping softens the lines of the hardscape fence, and house walls. The firelight along with the low voltage lighting accent the space at night. The step lights allow for safe travel over the changes in elevation to the pool. The stone veneers match the existing grill and bar counter and the flagstone coping step treads and wall caps match existing stone kitchen patio. The concrete paving pattern was selected to match the pattern of the existing stone kitchen patio as well. The trip to the city zoning board was well worth the reward of providing everything the client wanted in a limited space. Project designed by Mike Farley. Media Rooms IncThis lower level renovation started out as a simple project. The family wanted to install a home theater in their unfinished basement. Initially it was only going to be a space with a home theater where they could occasionally watch a movie or a sporting event.
Once the theater design was complete, the clients embraced the elegance of the custom cherry wood cabinetry, columns and wainscoting. In addition, by having all of the audio video components hidden out of sight, the room would have a serene, peaceful ambience.
The theater design enticed the clients to finish off the rest of the basement. A bar area was designed with an antique bar, and a lounge area with a fireplace was also constructed. As the layout evolved and the placement of the bar was resolved a perfect area for a wine cellar became evident. Once the clients realized how comfortable the space would be, they understood that they would probably be spending more time in the basement than they originally anticipated. This thought led them to want two large flat panel TVs on the walls in the bar area so they could watch several events at the same time.
They love the theater. The 110” screen and quality audio video system is a constant source of entertainment for the entire family. They use the entire basement frequently as a gathering point for family and friends.
