Sometimes gathering is more about small groups standing around a bar catching up. In the basement, I wanted the bar to float so that it was easy to slide up a stool or simply stand without legs or walls getting in the way. Luckily we had two great steel lolly columns we were able to leverage as supports for the bar. Working with a local artisan we created industrial deco clamps, incorporating the same curve from the other custom made elements in the space, to clamp the reclaimed wood top to the steel columns. When this young couple bought their dream home, their dream kitchen seemed completely out of reach. With only minor updates to the floor plan but major updates to the finishes, the kitchen was transformed into a sleek and modern space that the whole family could enjoy. High contrast finishes feel crisp and fresh, uncluttered and composed, creating calmness and ease for an otherwise busy family.

This space was rearranged to feel more welcoming and relaxing. Some items were brought in from other rooms. There is now greater harmony in this room. Client's new TV was bought after consultation and placed on top of left-side table after the consultation.

Client was sent to me through my wife's business, as they just moved from another state and bought a home that had a Theater Room but it was missing components. I was asked to connect a new receiver, the projector, and cable box to the existing speakers to allow the client to enjoy his new Theater room.

ASID 2018 DESIGN OVATION SINGLE SPACE DEDICATED FUNCTION/ SECOND PLACE. The clients requested professional assistance transforming this small, jumbled room with lots of angles into an efficient home office and occasional guest bedroom for visiting family. Maintaining the existing stained wood moldings was requested and the final vision was to reflect their Nigerian heritage in a dramatic and tasteful fashion. Photo by Michael Hunter

The priorities for this master bath remodel included an increased shower area, room for a dresser/clothes storage & the introduction of some sustainable materials. A custom built-in was created to house all of the husband’s clothes and was tucked neatly into the space formerly occupied by the shower. A local fabricator created countertops using concrete and recycled glass. The big, boxy tub, a floor model bought at an extreme discount, is the focal point of the room. Many of the other lines in the room echo its geometric and modern clean lines. The end result is a crisp, clean aesthetic that feels spacious and is filled with light.
