Sited on a Wyoming mountainside, just below the tree line, this home traverses a steep, east facing slope located just south of Grand Teton National Park. The house is conceived as a series of terraces offering views of the mountainous, vast landscape to the east and minimizing the visual impact of the building from the valley below. Designed for a family of six who share a love for the landscape and all mountain sports, the stepping volumes create separate zones for the family while remaining part of a single cohesive composition that responds to the land. The program includes a cantilevered living area with views to the west, north, and east; a shared fireplace between the dining area and the living area; and a kitchen which opens to the dining room and to an outside shaded terrace. The formal entry is up-slope—convenient to the guest parking area and skiers returning along a favorite, out-of- bounds ski run. The master bedroom occupies the highest point of the design and is above an office and studio, which can are converted into bedrooms. Perched in the foothills of Edna Valley, this single family residence was designed to fulfill the clients’ desire for seamless indoor-outdoor living. Much of the program and architectural forms were driven by the picturesque views of Edna Valley vineyards, visible from every room in the house. Ample amounts of glazing brighten the interior of the home, while framing the classic Central California landscape. Large pocketing sliding doors disappear when open, to effortlessly blend the main interior living spaces with the outdoor patios. The stone spine wall runs from the exterior through the home, housing two different fireplaces that can be enjoyed indoors and out. Because the clients work from home, the plan was outfitted with two offices that provide bright and calm work spaces separate from the main living area. The interior of the home features a floating glass stair, a glass entry tower and two master decks outfitted with a hot tub and outdoor shower. Through working closely with the landscape architect, this rather contemporary home blends into the site to maximize the beauty of the surrounding rural area.

Jasmine Residence is a renovation of a single-story ranch house in Denver, Colorado. Two accordion folding glass doors connect the main living space with the rear yard and the neighborhood street. This effectively creates a large breezeway that can be opened up for three seasons annually. The second story addition expands the house's existing program to include a new master suite and a loft.

Included the City of Boulders setback averaging and front porch encroachment to enhance curb appeal while maximizing buildable square footage. An open floor plan was arranged around the home-owners existing furnishings and familiar living spaces of their prior out-of-state home. The residence scored a 94 Green Point Rating on the City of Boulder’s legacy Green Points program. The home features an age-in-place approach with an accessible bedroom with private bathroom on the main level.

Jasmine Residence is a renovation of a single-story ranch house in Denver, Colorado. Two accordion folding glass doors connect the main living space with the rear yard and the neighborhood street. This effectively creates a large breezeway that can be opened up for three seasons annually. The second story addition expands the house's existing program to include a new master suite and a loft.

Secondary bathroom from a complete luxury home remodel in Newport Coast — proof that the project's full-slab standard ran through every bathroom in the house, not just the primary. Coastline Builders Group wrapped the walk-in shower in dramatic dark-veined natural stone slab behind frameless glass, with the same stone topping the custom vanity, matte black fixtures throughout, and new custom cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, and lighting. Each of the home's bathrooms carries a different slab selection — a fabrication program across the whole house rather than a single showcase room.

The goal of this project was to replace a small single-story seasonal family cottage with a year-round home that takes advantage of the views and topography of this lakefront site while providing privacy for the occupants. The program called for a large open living area, a master suite, study, a small home gym and five additional bedrooms. The style was to be distinctly contemporary. The house is shielded from the street by the placement of the garage and by limiting the amount of window area facing the road. The main entry is recessed and glazed with frosted glass for privacy. Due to the narrowness of the site and the proximity of the neighboring houses, the windows on the sides of the house were also limited and mostly high up on the walls. The limited fenestration on the front and sides is made up for by the full wall of glass on the lake side, facing north. The house is anchored by an exposed masonry foundation. This masonry also cuts through the center of the house on the fireplace chimney to separate the public and private spaces on the first floor, becoming a primary material on the interior. The house is clad with three different siding material: horizontal longboard siding, vertical ribbed steel siding and cement board panels installed as a rain screen. The standing seam metal-clad roof rises from a low point at the street elevation to a height of 24 feet at the lakefront to capture the views and the north light. The house is organized into two levels and is entered on the upper level. This level contains the main living spaces, the master suite and the study. The angled stair railing guides visitors into the main living area. The kitchen, dining area and living area are each distinct areas within one large space. This space is visually connected to the outside by the soaring ceilings and large fireplace mass that penetrate the exterior wall. The lower level contains the children’s and guest bedrooms, a secondary living space and the home gym.
