This study was built with a tall ceiling, so we had molding placed around the walls two thirds of the way up and selected a textural grasscloth for the lower portion in order to draw the eye down from the ceiling. Warm shades of taupe for the remaining part of the walls and ceiling make the room cozy and intimate. Another layer of texture was added with the geometric hand crafted hair on hide rug, and we selected contemporary but inviting furniture with custom fabrics, and a soft throw pillow. Perhaps the highlight of the room, we chose to use bookcases upholstered in a gray velvet and enhanced with nickel nail head trim. Custom artwork was sourced especially for the room to enhance the color palette and draw out the golden yellow in the desk chair fabric. This bathroom was designed for 2 teenage girls. The soft aqua color (BM Green Wave) is calming with a few pops of coral. The new cabinets from Under Budget Cabinets are a light gray color and provide much needed drawer storage that they did not have previously. Outlets were installed inside the cabinets to reduce clutter from hair appliances. The countertop is Silestone in Lyra and simple rectangular white under mount sinks were installed. All hardware and fixtures are brushed nickel. To save money, the tub was simply refinished and the tile surround stayed. It was upgraded with a heavy frameless sliding glass door. Linear floor tile replaced the carpet. Now it is a clean, fresh space.

The two bathrooms have full overlay alder maple cabinets in dover white with a painted finish in Swiss Coffee. Of course we added some soft close hinges. The master bathroom has upper crown molding and a pullout style drawer for all of the hair care appliances.

We added soft close hinges to prevent slamming, it has a very convenient hair care pull out cabinet, power bars and even a side make up station! The shower received new glass doors with a flat pebble cool blend floor and a chevron pattern tile wall in Paloma Denim. We made sure it had a nook for products, a small corner leg bench and a Wellfor matte black rain shower head. The countertop is quartz Calacatta Jubilee with white porcelain square sinks.

All we really need is a few visible shelves to store our tiny items as opposed to tossing everything into messy drawers.
