Jens Juul Eilersen has created a gigantic "sofa bathtub", which is an orgy of soft foam, down and pillows. Tub is the coolest and softest sofa yet in the Eilersen universe of floaters. And the contrast between the slim, tight outer shell and the interior heaven of foam and down creates dynamism in the language of form. Like sitting on a soft bed.

The variation in pillow sizes and patterns are intended to move around at will. The four back cushions anchor the banquette with the softest velvet in Island Blue with a contrast welt in Persimmon which is also carried through on the bottom cushions and select pillows.

This living room was completely rearranged, replacing the sectional with two sofa's. This actually opened up the area. The walls are painted the softest dove grey that is used in the area rug, the coffee table and the artwork.

This early 90's contemporary home was in need of some major updates and when my clients purchased it they were ready to make it their own. The home features large open rooms, great natural light and stunning views of Lake Washington. These clients love bold vibrant colors and clean modern lines so the goal was to incorporate those in the design without it overwhelming the space. Balance was key. The end goal was for the home to feel open and airy yet warm and inviting. This was achieved by bringing in punches of color to an otherwise white or neutral palate. Texture and visual interest were achieved throughout the house through the use of wallpaper, fabrics, and a few one of a kind artworks.

In a neutral setting, even the softest shades stand out; pattern in a pale room can be bold. Simple wall paneling, a departure for the designer, is painted white to provide an understated backdrop. Haleh used the simple silk panels in gray and champagne to form columns that define the two sitting areas and bring height to the space. The Brady Avenue Retreat features a coastal island home in Charleston, South Carolina. While we wanted to evoke an airy, seaside feel with sandy neutrals and clean white linens, pops of sea glass blue, and lots of organic texture, it was also our goal to maintain a timeless elegance that will be loved for years to come in this comfortably chic master bedroom retreat.

We combined them with the softest sheep skin rug and moody photograph by Tim Burns to create a deeply cozy space.
