In collaboration with the client’s architect, AR Design the layout of the kitchen was already in place. However, upon meeting the client it was clear she wanted a ‘wow’ island, symmetry in design and plenty of functional storage. As well as a contemporary, family-friendly space it was also important the space that still respected the heritage of the house. The original walls of the property had many angled walls and featured some tight spaces, so careful consideration of SieMatic's cabinetry choices was given to ensure maximum functionality in those spaces. After much consideration, The Myers Touch specified SieMatic’s SC10 Cabinetry in a Provence Oak Laminate finish which was placed in a framed-style at the rear wall. The same cabinetry was specified for under the island to create contrast with the new and original material features in the space. In order for the family to keep the kitchen uncluttered, careful planning of internal storage systems was considered in the form of using SieMatic’s internal Drawer boxes and their MultiMatic internal storage system which were used to store smaller items such as spices and sauces, as well whilst providing space for slide-out drawers and storage baskets. To ensure an elegant yet ‘wow’ factor central island, The Myers Touch combined contrasting textures by using 30mm Silestone Eternal Calacatta natural stone, polished worktops with ‘waterfall island’ edges and a Corian solid surface back panel. The distinctive geometric patterned Corian panel in Cameo White looks particularly spectacular at night when the owner's turn on the architectural-toned lighting under the island. Appliances chosen for the island included a sophisticated Elica Illusion extractor hood so it could be totally integrated in the new architectural space without visual distraction, a Siemens iQ500 Induction Hob with touch-slide control and a Caple Under-counter Wine cabinet. To maximise every inch of the new space, and to ensure the owners had a place for everything, The Myers Touch also used additional cabinetry and storage options in the island such as extra deep drawers to store saucepans, cutlery, and everyday crockery. The eye-catching Antique-bronze mirrored splashback not only helps to provide the illusion of extra space, but reinforces family ‘togetherness’ as it reflects and links the rear of the kitchen ‘snug’ area where family members can sit and relax or work when not in the main kitchen extension area. The original toned brickwork and 18th Century steel windows in the original part of the extension also helps to tell the story about the older part of the house which now juxtaposes to the new, contemporary kitchen living extension. A handy door was also included in the extension which leads to the garage on the main road for family convenience and over-flow storage. In this historical home in Glendale, CA, we put in Milgard Ultra Series fiberglass woodclad windows and doors, and French rail sliding patio doors. We custom built the wood for the French door and the solid mahogany interior doors.

Our client had a little 3x3 shower at the end of the vanity and a tub they never used. We removed the hsower and used that space to enlarge the closet and removed the tub and built a large walk in shower. We also made a custom sized mirror stained to match their new custom Alder wood vanity.

This Troy kitchen was a total tear out. The typical peninsula, with overhead cabinets, that divided the kitchen from the eating space, was eliminated. A bar- height table is used as an island, or a perch for a quick bite. Tumbled limestone tiles with tiny glass mosaics make up the timeless backsplash. The counter tops are solid surface material. Various lighting sources and the greenhouse window offer a choice for functional or ambient lighting.

This beach style white and grey bathroom has a very comfortable yet edgy ambiance. White shaker panel cabinetry has straight clean edges for a great modern appeal. Matching brushed chrome faucet and cabinet handles make this a perfect match for that completed style. The solid surface counter top is a softer mixture of the color design used in this room and has a clean and easy appearance. The wall mirrors are great to make a room appear larger than it is and brighten a room by reflecting the light around the room. The thin pencil tile also carries the white and grey tones and makes a stunning statement for a bold burst of design to make the room really pop. These small yet simple ways give that little something special we all look for in bathroom renovations. Dark grey on the floor and then carried up the wall make a great look and a way for easy clean up. The darker color floor tiles are a great way to make a statement as well. The shower floor is the same color, however, it is a smaller tile and adds a nice switch in the transition into this section of the bathroom. Larger and longer white shower tile, laid in an offset design bring a really longer look into any style shower. The glass shower door also makes the room look bigger and allows all the wonderful light into the area as you wash off the sand from the beach. A great corner bench is also a smart design choice.

Expansive Media kitchen renovation. Chris Seeger at Chester County Kitchen & Bath and clients designed and built a totally new kitchen showpiece in this Media Pennsylvania ranch home. The whole space was transformed. We raised the ceiling height in the kitchen to 10 foot, removed walls, and widened existing openings. This opened up the space to allow it to become the center stage this family and home needed. New window were also installed to allow for the central range and hood. New solid oak flooring was installed and finished to match the homes original wood floors. The foyer was transformed with new 2 ½” x10” tile flooring set in a herringbone pattern. Inset Fieldstone Cabinetry in the Charlaine Door in a white painted finish were installed on the perimeter with tall cabinetry to the new shiplap board ceiling. The central island was a great choice in Fieldstone Cabinetry’s new finish Homestead Fog. New tile backsplash with focal point behind the new range and Polar Stone countertops in Calacatta Vagli make the space. The lead carpenter on site Steve McHenry did a great job on everything especially including the blending of the new space perfectly into the original home with trims and finishes. From the new sliding barn door to the pantry, the open shelving above the farm sink, and the great fixtures and appliances this project has too much to list.
