Close up of Dymondia margaretae ("Silver Carpet"), growing in flagstone gaps. We set the stones at roughly 2.5" apart and added an amended soil to the final 2" between the stones. Plugs were installed on roughly 5-6" centers. 98% filled in after 5 months. Irrigated with Hunter MP rotators at 30 minutes every 10 days. We're now backing it off since they've become established.

This patio was looking tired with lots of weeds. We cleaned it and installed polymeric sand to help prevent weeds. It fills the joints with a binder, so the weeds do not come back for a long time. Landforms Inc.

This project was a portion of a larger remodeling of a classic mid-century deck house in Weston, MA. The primary areas of focus for the landscape were an interior courtyard and rear terrace, both of which were overgrown and unused. In order to keep within budget limitations, our strategy consisted largely of editing the existing plants on site and reusing the best ones, maintaining existing groupings where appropriate. In keeping with the arts and crafts style of the home with its exposed beams and attention to detail, we implemented a simpler palette of rich materials with well-articulated detailing for a more pared-down contemporary aesthetic. This luxury backyard walkway was created with our Blu Grande slabs! Perfect paving slab for modern poolsides and backyard design, Blu Grande Smooth is a large concrete patio stone available in multiple colors. Its smooth texture is sleek to the eye but rougher to the touch which avoids it from getting slippery when wet. The large rectangular shape works as an easy add-on into Blu 60 regular modular patterns but can also work as a stand-alone to create a very linear look. Check out the HD2 Blu Grande Smooth which is all about seamless looks with a tighter/poreless texture and anti-aging technology.
