A timeless picture-frame design the Chateau fireplace mantel has elegant curves to soften its profile and lend the ideal frame for contemporary and traditional spaces alike. The profile is layered with visual interest and the soft curve towards the fire adds elegance to this classic fireplace mantel. Set in a downtown Kirkland neighborhood, the 1st Street project captures the best of suburban living. The open floor plan brings kitchen, dining, and living space within reach, and rich wood beams, shiplap, and stone accents add timeless texture with a modern twist. Four bedrooms and a sprawling daylight basement create distinct spaces for family life, and the finished covered patio invites residents to breathe in the best of Pacific Northwest summers.

This very steep hillside is the focal point of the back yard as it is located along the outdoor living area, patio and courtyard just outside a wall of french doors. It was too steep to mow, dry, rocky and barren until we worked our magic. The client was from Scotland and desired a landscape that would remind her of a traditional " Rockery" with alpine plants, heaths and heathers. Since those specific plants don't do well in Atlanta, we choose plants that offered similar colors and textures. When the garden is the most lush, as seen here, only a few rocks are visible. In the winter when half of these plants are dormant, the hand selected and carefully placed boulders balance the design. This Buckhead client absolutely loves the results!

Not only are unfinished mahogany wine racks beautiful in their own rite, they provide a nice backdrop for the bottles.
Mahogany also boasts fantastic resistance to moisture, and the mold, mildew and decay that could otherwise come of it.
This makes it perfect for the cool and humid environment inherent in a custom wine cellar in Texas.
Specifically, horizontal display vine racks can be seen here. This bottle orientation allows for easy viewing of the wine labels.

Dura Supreme’s Personal Paint Match Program offers the entire Sherwin-William’s paint palette, over 1500 paint colors, for your new cabinets.
Painted cabinetry is more popular than ever before and the color you select for your home should be a reflection of your personal taste and style. Color is a highly personal preference for most people and although there are specific colors that are considered “on trend” or fashionable, color choices should ultimately be based on what appeals to you personally.
Kitchen & Bath Designers are often asked about color trends and how to incorporate them into newly designed or renovated interiors. And although trends in fashion should be taken into consideration, that should not be the only deciding factor. For example, if you love a specific shade of green, look at selecting complementing neutrals and coordinating colors to bring the entire palette together beautifully.” It could be something as simple as being able to select the perfect shade of white that complements the countertop and tile and works well in a specific lighting situation. Our new Personal Paint Match system makes the process so much easier.
Dura Supreme's new "Personal Paint Match Program" provides the entire Sherwin Williams paint palette of over 1,500 colors to select from. The Sherwin Williams paint color simply needs to be specified and Dura Supreme will then create a color chip for the designer and homeowner to review. Once that color is approved by the homeowner, Dura Supreme then builds and finishes the cabinetry to match. The new Personal Paint Match program is available for all product lines.

This mountain transitional great room features a custom, large-scale Blue Ridge Mountain oil painting, commissioned specifically to anchor the room’s majestic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. Executed in a style of contemporary classical realism, the artwork introduces soft, atmospheric blue horizons to the space, beautifully balancing the rugged grandeur of the natural stonework with the elegant, tailored interior design by Tribus Interior Design.

Getting your homeowner's association board to approve your new custom garage doors can seem daunting. Dynamic Garage Door as a custom design and manufacturing firm has come across this situation quite frequently with a phenomenal success approval rate!
In order to get approval for your custom garage door approval there are a few basic points you must understand. First off, your HOA is committed to preserving the neighborhood's curb appeal integrity by focusing on the impact your new custom garage doors might have on your house and the houses of your neighbors. It is important to understand that your curb appeal decisions will impact your home and neighborhood alike. Too many companies offer semi-custom wood doors without the true understanding of the client's need and the essence of their home's architectural style. The garage door design you choose needs to comply with neighborhood regulations while complement your home's architecture. At Dynamic Garage Door, our designers are well-rounded in the garage door industry and so we can suggest or develop designs that will reinforce the natural appearance of your home's style. If you can prove to your HOA that you've done your homework and that the garage door design you chose will complement not only your home but the neighborhood you'll be surprised when your proposal is marked with the approval stamp!
This garage door is actually a single double-car door not two as it appears. The reason is that this garage used to have two separate doors with a post in the middle. The post in the middle made it difficult to use the garage on a daily basis so the post was removed to facilitate the use of the garage. The HOA wasn't too happy about the removal of the post as it was an essential part of the arches located right above the garage doors. You can clearly see how that would have been disruptive if the homeowner went with a regular wood door and not one custom designed and manufactured by Dynamic Garage Door.
This garage door was specifically designed to address the HOA's concern about the center post removal and the effect it would have on the curb appeal of the home with the incomplete double arch look. So we addressed this by crafting the door with a false center post in the middle that was textured and painted the same color of the house to give off that illusion that the post is still there. Overall, it gives the home a complete finished appearance with two independent-looking doors and original post. The homeowner got the entire width of the opening to use at the push of a button so having a larger car won't be a problem anymore. The neighbors are all happy and no one seems to notice the center post is actually fake!

In order to transform this pocket-sized 1920s kitchen into a family gathering space, we had to get creative, using the existing kitchen, dining area and enclosed porch. The process was further complicated as the home required a Historic Review due to its age and location. The new design includes subway tile and reclaimed wood, maintaining the room’s charm without compromising modern conveniences.
Custom windows were designed to match the original windows, and the original kitchen area was transformed into a fully-functioning breakfast bar, with a twist. The breakfast bar now stores all the fixings the clients need to prep meals for their kids. When company comes over, they can convert it into a full-service bar. The granite-top island is the heart of the kitchen. It serves as both a prep station and the perfect gathering space with chairs. Underneath, the island offers near limitless storage for appliances.
The most functional element of the kitchen is also the most loved by the clients — the dining banquette. This beautiful space features a custom bench with storage, custom period-specific windows and a reclaimed walnut tabletop. It’s the perfect place for the family to eat a cozy meal or host friends for dinner.

Our mission on this project was to replace an existing basic garage with a functional and attractive new multi-bay garage to house several collector automobiles. The homeowners also had a wish list for a mudroom addition, a kitchen re-do, a bathroom renovation, and systems modifications.
Requirements for the garage were specific: a hydraulic lift for working on cars, a second story for storage, and heating and insulation. Serious green thumbs, the couple wanted space for gardening equipment as well. And the garage design should complement the traditional style of the existing house, a classic Chestnut Hill stone colonial revival, built around 1925. As we progressed with the design, the storage room upstairs got upgraded to a multi-purpose studio/loft with a full bath and a shaded balcony.
Although the Philadelphia zoning code permits a detached garage at this location, the proposed size—both the footprint and the height needed to accommodate a lift—exceeded the zoning code limits. We shepherded the design through a lengthy zoning review process and obtained a variance, enabling construction to move ahead.
Once finishing touches on the interior of the house are completed, we’ll have more photos to share.

In the great room, wrought iron accents are featured in a new staircase handrail system. Other metal accents are found in the new chandelier, barstools and the legs of the live edge coffee table. An open area under the staircase was enclosed with recessed shelving which gives a focal point to the dinette area. Recessed built-in cabinets near the fireplace store TV technology and accessories. The original tiled hearth was replaced by poured concrete with stone accents.
A queen sleeper sofa from Edgecomb provides additional sleeping. Fabrics and upholstery throughout the condo were selected for durability and cleanability.
Basic white laminate kitchen cabinets were replaced with beautiful dark stained wood. Floor tile is a wood-look porcelain from Daltile called Saddle Brook. Countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms are solid surface Corian Quartz (formerly called DuPont Zodiaq). Broadloom carpet is from Durkan. The first floor bedroom is Mona Vista pattern from Modesto Collection; all other carpet is Inviting Spaces pattern from Timeless Compositions. Walls are painted with Sherwin Williams 7647 Crushed Ice.
The main floor bedroom has a custom headboard mounted on a feature wall with plaid wallcovering. A freestanding vanity with undermount sink was added to the alcove area, creating space for a larger walk-in tiled shower with custom bench. On both levels, backlit mirrors highlight the sink areas. The upstairs bath has a blue tile feature wall and vessel sink.
A fiberglass bathtub surround was removed and replaced by a custom tiled shower. Vinyl wallcovering from D.L. Couch provides a focal point behind the king headboard in the loft bedroom. A twin sleeper chair adds an extra bed.
