Inspiration for a modern rectangular infinity pool remodel in Los Angeles

Wood looking tile creates a chevron pattern on the floor as it transitions from the hardwood flooring in the Master Bedroom. Double sinks are under-mounted below white marble countertops atop the custom designed vanity (EKD) in solid wood, painted with 8 layers of bronze metal paint. 6 usable storage drawers and 8 linear feet of exposed towel storage add to the organization appeal of this custom piece. Polished nickel hardware, light sconces and accessories compliment the Polished nickel Calista Bathroom fixtures by Kohler serving the sinks, shower and freestanding tub. Frameless glass shower doors swing on polished nickel hinges and shower walls are covered in stone tile with a smooth matte finish making cleaning nice and easy. Stone tile niches were created to hold 16 votive candles in the wall above the elevated tub for a relaxing spa-like experience. * The Bathroom vanity is a custom designed piece by Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson. White marble laser cut in an oval shape, laid horizontally and embedded in gray grout, covers an entire wall spanning from the toilet and on into the shower. In this Bathroom. When this suburban family decided to renovate their kitchen, they knew that they wanted a little more space. Advance Design worked together with the homeowner to design a kitchen that would work for a large family who loved to gather regularly and always ended up in the kitchen! So the project began with extending out an exterior wall to accommodate a larger island and more moving-around space between the island and the perimeter cabinetry. Style was important to the cook, who began collecting accessories and photos of the look she loved for months prior to the project design. She was drawn to the brightness of whites and grays, and the design accentuated this color palette brilliantly with the incorporation of a warm shade of brown woods that originated from a dining room table that was a family favorite. Classic gray and white cabinetry from Dura Supreme hits the mark creating a perfect balance between bright and subdued. Hints of gray appear in the bead board detail peeking just behind glass doors, and in the application of the handsome floating wood shelves between cabinets. White subway tile is made extra interesting with the application of dark gray grout lines causing it to be a subtle but noticeable detail worthy of attention. Suede quartz Silestone graces the countertops with a soft matte hint of color that contrasts nicely with the presence of white painted cabinetry finished smartly with the brightness of a milky white farm sink. Old melds nicely with new, as antique bronze accents are sprinkled throughout hardware and fixtures, and work together unassumingly with the sleekness of stainless steel appliances. The grace and timelessness of this sparkling new kitchen maintains the charm and character of a space that has seen generations past. This transformation started with a builder grade bathroom and was expanded into a sauna wet room. With cedar walls and ceiling and a custom cedar bench, the sauna heats the space for a relaxing dry heat experience. The goal of this space was to create a sauna in the secondary bathroom and be as efficient as possible with the space. This bathroom transformed from a standard secondary bathroom to a ergonomic spa without impacting the functionality of the bedroom. This project was super fun, we were working inside of a guest bedroom, to create a functional, yet expansive bathroom. We started with a standard bathroom layout and by building out into the large guest bedroom that was used as an office, we were able to create enough square footage in the bathroom without detracting from the bedroom aesthetics or function. We worked with the client on her specific requests and put all of the materials into a 3D design to visualize the new space. By expanding the room slightly it gave us the needed space to relocate the toilet, the vanity and the entrance to the bathroom allowing for the wet room to have the full length of the new space. This bathroom includes a cedar sauna room that is incorporated inside of the shower, the custom cedar bench follows the curvature of the room's new layout and a window was added to allow the natural sunlight to come in from the bedroom. The aromatic properties of the cedar are delightful whether it's being used with the dry sauna heat and also when the shower is steaming the space. In the shower are matching porcelain, marble-look tiles, with architectural texture on the shower walls contrasting with the warm, smooth cedar boards. Also, by increasing the depth of the toilet wall, we were able to create useful towel storage without detracting from the room significantly. This entire project and client was a joy to work with.

Our Moss Building & Design client has a beautiful home in desirable Oak Hill, Virginia that had, when purchased, the original builder’s grade kitchen and its related elements, all in need of updates. Our client had a very specific vision for the kitchen remodel, hoping to transform it to match the “urban loft style” of the rest of the home. With an eye to a modern and almost minimalist design, the goal of the Moss Building & Design team was to bring the client’s vision to a reality - utilizing specific focus on clean lines, a focus on eclectic and unique fixtures, and a stunning use of quartz on both the massive island and the walls, among others. This pool and spa is built in an affluent neighborhood with many new homes that are traditional in design but have modern, clean details. Similar to the homes, this pool takes a traditional pool and gives it a clean, modern twist. The site proved to be perfect for a long lap pool that the client desired with plenty of room for a separate spa. The two bodies of water, though separate, are visually linked together by a custom limestone raised water feature wall with 10 custom Bobe water scuppers. Quality workmanship as required throughout the entire build to ensure the automatic pool cover would remain square the entire 50 foot length of the pool.
