Working with the client's contractor we updated this beautiful old Houston home. The client's vision was that of "old southern charm and graciouness". Material Selections and Specifications were made and furnishings were selected by designer Carole Hinrichs in union with the client. The client had many pieces of furniture and art objects to incorporate into the new design of this home.

This incredible closet is custom in every way. It was designed to meet the specific needs and desires of our client. The cabinetry was slightly distressed, glazed and load with extensive detail. The rolling ladder moves around entire closet for upper storage. Several pull out and slide out shelves, scarf racks, hanger racks and custom storage accessories were included in the design. A custom dresser with upper glass cabinets along with built-in hamper are also included. It wouldn't be complete without a vertical, tilted shoe rack. Ceiling painted in a rich robin’s egg blue with sparkle additive sets this closet apart from any other. The custom upholstered storage bench with pillows at the end of the room and crystal chandelier finishes this room beautifully. Photo Credit - Hall Of Portraits

the bamboo is a clumping variety called Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata , Asian lemon bamboo. This variety is a clumper and you do not need to contain it, however, do allow an 8'by 10' area for its ultimate growth. Bamboo does require constant maintenance and you will need to do some research for the specific variety you choose. Once planted, it will become a beautiful focal point and add a stunning tropical accent. Photo Credit: Sherwood Cox

This existing client reached out to MMI Design for help shortly after the flood waters of Harvey subsided. Her home was ravaged by 5 feet of water throughout the first floor. What had been this client's long-term dream renovation became a reality, turning the nightmare of Harvey's wrath into one of the loveliest homes designed to date by MMI. We led the team to transform this home into a showplace. Our work included a complete redesign of her kitchen and family room, master bathroom, two powders, butler's pantry, and a large living room. MMI designed all millwork and cabinetry, adjusted the floor plans in various rooms, and assisted the client with all material specifications and furnishings selections. Returning these clients to their beautiful '"new" home is one of MMI's proudest moments!

At Morehouse Crafted Interiors, we believe that world-class design is rooted in technical precision. This elevation drawing illustrates the meticulous planning required to hang a multi-tier lighting installation in a double-height great room. To achieve the perfect "randomized" yet balanced look seen in the Herring Residence, we mapped out the exact heights—ranging from 114" to 204" from the floor—for each small, medium, and large pendant. This level of detail ensures that sightlines from the loft remain clear while the dining area below feels perfectly framed. We provide our clients with this level of architectural documentation to ensure flawless execution on every project.
