A sophisticated collection of new furniture pieces mixed with renewed upholstery and found objects. The bold backdrop of the metallic stenciled Juneberry wall energizes the room. Follow the stencil onto the ceiling for a subtle yet unexpected detail.

To fall in line with the homeowners collection of antique family furniture and a need to properly entertain we brought in a beautiful terracotta wall glaze with vertical movement to add height to the room as well as much needed warmth. We also created a stencil that not only adorned the walls but was added to the chair fabric to create a cohesive design thought.

The crib is Olivia by Baby Mod. A basic navy crib skirt done in the same fabric as the daybed is a subtle but completes the look. Modern white tree decals frame the wall behind the crib. Custom birds were sewn with a free pattern found online, and we used all kinds of orange and navy fabric samples we had collected in planning the space to make their little bodies. This dining room turned playroom turned homework/music room has a collected feel to it. Beautiful grasscloth walls, a soft warm gray and textured white curtains provide a neutral backdrop to fun pops of color. A reupholstered cane wingback in a funky colorful pattern, an antique Canadian Public School chair, a gallery wall filled with all sorts of treasured and DIY items, layered rugs and Louis ghost chairs all work together to give this space a unique, collected vibe. It reflects the vibrant spirit of the homeowners that won't be pinned down to just one style. Scott Lawrence Photography
