We feel a waterfall of emotion when we enter this monochromatic kitchen. The focus of this remodel was to update the clean lines and maintain the modern style. This was accomplished through the use of a bright white shaker style cabinet with a contemporary 2 step style and built-in appliances. The client expressed that organization and functionality of their cabinet interiors was a priority for them so we incorporated utensil, drawer and corner storage solutions that transfer their items with the slightest pull. A waterfall edge on the peninsula counter top shows off the beautiful marble stone and creates a feature unique to this kitchen. This beautiful custom wine cellar / wine wall / wine room in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California is truly a jaw dropper. Vintage Cellars, wine cellar builders out of san diego, california, were able to design and build this masterpiece as a major centerpoint of this dining room and kitchen. A custom wine cellar designed and built by vintage wine cellars out of San Diego, California - this custom wine wall has tons of unique and noteworthy features throughout. The bottom of the cellar begins with multiple areas for wine case storage and other bulk storage options. The great thing about this space is that it was designed for multi-use capability, leaving ample room to store multiple layers deep of single bottle storage as well. Directly above the case storage lie multiple layers of easy pull out shelving on smooth rolling tracks, seamlessly allowing for drawer sliding with no risk of bottle movement or abrupt stops. These are fantastic features to have, especially in the case of having flights of wines from your favorite wineries. A collection of 2010 through 2016 Larkmeade Cabernet Sauvignon bottles from Napa have never looked so good. In the center, a small countertop and opening are used for a practical space to open and decant wines. Glass shelving features and acrylic wine racking dividers make for a fun, transparent, and sleek looking centerpiece. On either side of this wine wall feature / kitchen wine cellar are long rows of high reveal display of wine bottles, carefully designed and engineered to lay down properly so that the cork will stay wet and wines are aged perfectly and gracefully over time. These display rows act as fantastic "show off" sections - perfectly highlighting each bottle's respective label and giving you the ability to really display your gems. More sections sit above these displays, turning the bottles inward and facing them cork out. In this certain circumstance and with this specific client's collection, these sections really popped with color and intrigue with many cases of the same wines being placed into the racking. Intense hues of Red and Yellow POP, keeping this wine cellar interesting and a pleasure to look at no matter what section you're exploring. Horizontal stainless steel metal rods are Integrated into the custom cabinetry horizontally and angled across each multiple sections, again offering another unique and different design feature, now with wine bottle labels facing outward and completely visible. Coconut Grove is Southwest of Miami beach near coral gables and south of downtown. It’s a very lush and charming neighborhood. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods and is protected historically. It hugs the shoreline of Biscayne Bay. The 10,000sft project was originally built 17 years ago and was purchased as a vacation home. Prior to the renovation the owners could not get past all the brown. He sails and they have a big extended family with 6 kids in between them. The clients wanted a comfortable and causal vibe where nothing is too precious. They wanted to be able to sit on anything in a bathing suit. KitchenLab interiors used lots of linen and indoor/outdoor fabrics to ensure durability. Much of the house is outside with a covered logia. The design doctor ordered the 1st prescription for the house- retooling but not gutting. The clients wanted to be living and functioning in the home by November 1st with permits the construction began in August. The KitchenLab Interiors (KLI) team began design in May so it was a tight timeline! KLI phased the project and did a partial renovation on all guest baths. They waited to do the master bath until May. The home includes 7 bathrooms + the master. All existing plumbing fixtures were Waterworks so KLI kept those along with some tile but brought in Tabarka tile. The designers wanted to bring in vintage hacienda Spanish with a small European influence- the opposite of Miami modern. One of the ways they were able to accomplish this was with terracotta flooring that has patina. KLI set out to create a boutique hotel where each bath is similar but different. Every detail was designed with the guest in mind- they even designed a place for suitcases.

Who wouldn’t want to sit in front of this fireplace? It was a honed black slate hearth, white tin surround and a reclaimed, old growth pine mantle. The wall behind it is covered in beadboard made from reclaimed timber pine. After tearing down this home's existing addition, we set out to create a new addition with a modern farmhouse feel that still blended seamlessly with the original house. The addition includes a kitchen great room, laundry room and sitting room. Outside, we perfectly aligned the cupola on top of the roof, with the upper story windows and those with the lower windows, giving the addition a clean and crisp look. Using granite from Chester County, mica schist stone and hardy plank siding on the exterior walls helped the addition to blend in seamlessly with the original house. Inside, we customized each new space by paying close attention to the little details. Reclaimed wood for the mantle and shelving, sleek and subtle lighting under the reclaimed shelves, unique wall and floor tile, recessed outlets in the island, walnut trim on the hood, paneled appliances, and repeating materials in a symmetrical way work together to give the interior a sophisticated yet comfortable feel. When our clients approached us to renovate their 1950s Newfoundland home, their goal was to modernize while reflecting both their West Coast roots and current East Coast lifestyle. What began as a simple ensuite repair expanded into a full home transformation, completed in two thoughtfully phased renovations. Drawing from our cross-coastal experience—and a personal connection to the home’s past—we blended classic East Coast charm with West Coast simplicity. Laminate cabinet fronts and Corian were the rage when this Overland Park home was built. With an out dated kitchen this beautiful California styled home required a gut and redo in the main kitchen area. The decision making process was extensive, but the client felt like she achieved a beautiful new kitchen with the guidance and hard work of Arlene Ladegaard and the Design Connection, Inc. team. From the beautiful white inset cabinet doors to the seamless look of the built in refrigerator to the antique brass faucets and pulls this kitchen is complete. Arlene and her team worked hard from the designing phase to the project management to the completion of new kitchen remodel. The newly remodeled white kitchen is on trend in the world of design. A point of emphasis was designed by Design Connection, Inc. through cross glass front cabinets that were extended all the way to the ceiling and lowered a little towards the counter top. The custom cabinetry for the client was important to update the space. Beautifully designed cabinets with inset doors and a custom finish hardware to match the faucet the client loved. The backsplash was extended all the way up to the ceiling creating a point of emphasis for the kitchen. At our San Salvador project, we did a complete kitchen remodel, redesigned the fireplace in the living room and installed all new porcelain wood-looking tile throughout. Before the kitchen was outdated, very dark and closed in with a soffit lid and old wood cabinetry. The fireplace wall was original to the home and needed to be redesigned to match the new modern style. We continued the porcelain tile from an earlier phase to go into the newly remodeled areas. We completely removed the lid above the kitchen, creating a much more open and inviting space. Then we opened up the pantry wall that previously closed in the kitchen, allowing a new view and creating a modern bar area. The young family wanted to brighten up the space with modern selections, finishes and accessories. Our clients selected white textured laminate cabinetry for the kitchen with marble-looking quartz countertops and waterfall edges for the island with mid-century modern barstools. For the backsplash, our clients decided to do something more personalized by adding white marble porcelain tile, installed in a herringbone pattern. In the living room, for the new fireplace design we moved the TV above the firebox for better viewing and brought it all the way up to the ceiling. We added a neutral stone-looking porcelain tile and floating shelves on each side to complete the modern style of the home. Our clients did a great job furnishing and decorating their house, it almost felt like it was staged which we always appreciate and love.

ATIID collaborated with these homeowners to curate new furnishings throughout the home while their down-to-the studs, raise-the-roof renovation, designed by Chambers Design, was underway. Pattern and color were everything to the owners, and classic “Americana” colors with a modern twist appear in the formal dining room, great room with gorgeous new screen porch, and the primary bedroom. Custom bedding that marries not-so-traditional checks and florals invites guests into each sumptuously layered bed. Vintage and contemporary area rugs in wool and jute provide color and warmth, grounding each space. Bold wallpapers were introduced in the powder and guest bathrooms, and custom draperies layered with natural fiber roman shades ala Cindy’s Window Fashions inspire the palettes and draw the eye out to the natural beauty beyond. Luxury abounds in each bathroom with gleaming chrome fixtures and classic finishes. A magnetic shade of blue paint envelops the gourmet kitchen and a buttery yellow creates a happy basement laundry room. Living room - mediterranean dark wood floor living room idea in Denver with beige walls and a stone fireplace

Hall of Portraits Amazing architecture in this once cement covered space! This finished basement was the 3rd of a 4 phase renovation in this spectacular home. A pub style bar is the focal point upon entering this space. The beautiful brick archways that were built throughout this lower level along with rustic hickory flooring give an old world feel. A Wooden Hammer custom door leading to a brick wine cellar along with a solid walnut bar countertops in this pub style bar are just a few design elements of this new lower level. A home theater, bedroom, exercise room and two new baths are also part of the design. The basement seems to go forever and then opens up to the incredible backyard, complete with a Gunite swimming pool and spa, stone work and landscape all melding with the architectural style of this gorgeous home.

The family room was conceived as a double-height architectural volume anchored by a monolithic stone fireplace and integrated millwork niches. Ceiling pitch, vertical planes, and material transitions were addressed during the design selection phase to ensure the scale of the architecture remained balanced once furnished. Soft, low-profile seating was selected to maintain clear sightlines across the room while allowing the fireplace surround and wood-lined alcoves to remain the primary focal elements. The furniture plan creates a structured conversational arrangement without interrupting circulation or visual flow. Textural layering — woven upholstery, stone, wood paneling, and subtle metal accents — reinforces warmth within the height and openness of the space. The result is a family room that reads as composed architecture first, furnishing second: grounded, scaled, and designed to support both gathering and daily use without visual noise.

In addition to the use of light quartz and marble, we strategically used mirrors to give the small master bath the illusion of being spacious and airy. Adding paneling to the walls and mirrors gives the room a seamless, finished look, which is highlighted by lights integrated into the mirrors. Coconut Grove is Southwest of Miami beach near coral gables and south of downtown. It’s a very lush and charming neighborhood. It’s one of the oldest neighborhoods and is protected historically. It hugs the shoreline of Biscayne Bay. The 10,000sft project was originally built 17 years ago and was purchased as a vacation home. Prior to the renovation the owners could not get past all the brown. He sails and they have a big extended family with 6 kids in between them. The clients wanted a comfortable and causal vibe where nothing is too precious. They wanted to be able to sit on anything in a bathing suit. KitchenLab interiors used lots of linen and indoor/outdoor fabrics to ensure durability. Much of the house is outside with a covered logia. The design doctor ordered the 1st prescription for the house- retooling but not gutting. The clients wanted to be living and functioning in the home by November 1st with permits the construction began in August. The KitchenLab Interiors (KLI) team began design in May so it was a tight timeline! KLI phased the project and did a partial renovation on all guest baths. They waited to do the master bath until May. The home includes 7 bathrooms + the master. All existing plumbing fixtures were Waterworks so KLI kept those along with some tile but brought in Tabarka tile. The designers wanted to bring in vintage hacienda Spanish with a small European influence- the opposite of Miami modern. One of the ways they were able to accomplish this was with terracotta flooring that has patina. KLI set out to create a boutique hotel where each bath is similar but different. Every detail was designed with the guest in mind- they even designed a place for suitcases.

In the kitchen we chose inset, white painted cabinets, soapstone counter-tops, and subway styled tile all of which is typical of kitchens from the 1920’s. While in the construction phase of the project, we discovered we could raise the ceiling and mimic the cove detail of the original ceiling from the dining room.
