Large trendy eat-in kitchen photo in Philadelphia with white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, glass tile backsplash, an island, an undermount sink, soapstone countertops, black countertops and shaker cabinets
Large trendy eat-in kitchen photo in Philadelphia with white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, glass tile backsplash, an island, an undermount sink, soapstone countertops, black countertops and shaker cabinets

This kitchen is home to two taller individuals who both use the space equally and requested a taller workspace to comfortably accommodate their needs. The island cabinets are standard 34-1/2” tall but the Iceberg countertops were installed with a 3” build-up to add height to the island. Cabinets on the long wall were designed to break up the wall of white: buffet on the end with walnut-framed glass cabinets and seashell backsplash; double refrigerators in a painted, distressed mahogany finish were pulled forward to simulate texture and depth on the wall; wide pantry cabinets with roll-out drawers sitting on the countertops flank the refrigerators. On the opposite wall, a new window box at the kitchen sink was built to add more countertop behind the sink and to let in more light, adding dimension to the room.
The cabinetry in the original existing kitchen was disjointed at the dining room entrance and made the room appear much smaller than it really was. To remedy this, the entry to the dining room from the kitchen was closed up and relocated around the corner from the foyer; 2 simple, stacked columns were built to highlight the new opening. These transitional style columns and wider room openings at the family room and dining room entrances provide an open layout suitable for large groups to mingle comfortably; family room cabinetry and dining room fireplace surround matches kitchen cabinets.

A couple wished to turn the unfinished half of their Creve Coeur, MO basement into special spaces for themselves and the grandchildren. Four functions were turned into 3 separate rooms: an arts and crafts room for the grandkids, a gift wrapping room for the wife, with office space for both of them, and a work room for the husband (not pictured).
The 3 rooms are accessed by a large hall, which houses a deep, stainless steel sink operated by foot pedals, which comes in handy for greasy, sticky or paint-smeared hands of all ages.
The gift wrapping room is adult art projects plus an office work space. Grandparents can leave their projects out and undisturbed by little ones by simply closing the French doors. Custom Wellborn cabinetry becomes work tables with the addition of wood tops. The impressive floor-to-ceiling hutch cabinet that holds gift wrapping supplies is custom-designed and built by Mosby to fit exact crafting needs.

Modern glass house set in the landscape evokes a midcentury vibe. A modern gas fireplace divides the living area with a polished concrete floor from the greenhouse with a gravel floor. The frame is painted steel with aluminum sliding glass door. The front features a green roof with native grasses and the rear is covered with a glass roof.

Inspiration for a large mid-century modern marble floor and white floor kitchen remodel in DC Metro with shaker cabinets, medium tone wood cabinets, quartzite countertops, stainless steel appliances, two islands and gray countertops

This project involved the complete transformation of a former golf clubhouse commons area into a warm, welcoming living room for a newly converted single-family residence.
Our primary challenge was defining a comfortable, functional living space within an oversized open area while ensuring it remained suitable for both large family gatherings and everyday relaxation. By dry-walling the existing rear opening, we created a more intimate footprint, allowing the room to function as a true living area centered around conversation, comfort, and television viewing. A generously scaled sofa was positioned as the primary anchor, complemented by four swivel chairs in a subtle mosaic pattern that introduce both visual interest and seating flexibility.
To ensure the space felt bespoke and grounded, we designed a custom walnut coffee table specifically for the room, providing warmth and scale. A neutral striped shag rug softens the surrounding architectural elements, while a meaningful piece of artwork, sketched by a family member, serves as a deeply personal focal point.
We are honored that this thoughtful redesign has been recognized with 3rd Place in the Dream Room Awards and 2nd Place in the People's Choice category.
At Clark Team Designs, we believe in "Real-Life Luxury"—creating homes that work as beautifully as they look. By managing the details with our signature methodical and organized process, we ensured this complex transformation was an effortless experience for our clients.
