The glass enclosed room is 500 sq.ft., and is immediately above the owner’s indoor swimming pool. The tall side walls float the lantern roof like a halo. The conservatory climbs to a whole new height, literally, 45′ from the ground. The conservatory is designed to compliment the architecture of the home's dramatic height, and is situated to overlook the homeowners in-ground pool, which is accessed by an elevator.

We wanted to create a comfortable and tranquil retreat in this sunroom, a place where my clients could lounge and escape the world. We used oversized chaises, a soft color story, and interesting textures to accomplish this relaxed aesthetic. We layered warm, sandy creams and soft grays to create a casual, monochromatic palette that lends itself to a more subdued eclectic vibe and a truly relaxed atmosphere.
We also made sure to incorporate a whole jungle worth of plants! Plants are the best way to bring life into your home. Not only do plants beautify your space, but they also have some pretty wonderful health benefits! They detoxify your home by improving indoor air quality. They are also known to boost your mood & lift your spirit!

This Woodland Home, built in 1946, had beautiful charm from the exterior but needed more love on the inside. The lack of storage in the kitchen, a dark family room and underutilized attic space led them to remodel the rest of the home.
In the kitchen, walls were removed between the breakfast nook and kitchen and existing windows relocated and enlarged to maximize natural light. The cased opening into the dining was widened allowing better flow for serving dinner guests. Installing new hardwoods in the kitchen created a cohesive floorplan. Willow Gray cabinets installed to the ceiling, heightened the room and gave the homeowners much needed storage space. Bianco Ararus Granite and classic subway backsplash with dark grout added a finishing touch.
A large cased opening was created between the family room and existing sunroom. New aluminum clad casement windows and large French door unit was installed which enhanced the natural light throughout the space. Window sashes were replaced on the lower level of the home. The existing attic stairs with heavy, worn carpet were rebuilt to widen as much as possible. New oak stair treads were installed and finished, tying into the original hardwood flooring throughout the main level. Black iron railing gives the illusion of more space while adding simple elegance.
The attic, once used for storage, was updated with new windows, luxury vinyl plank flooring and cabinetry for seasonal clothing storage. The quaint space is especially enjoyed as a reading nook and quiet getaway.

This home is casual and welcoming yet completely pulled together with an elevated coastal style. The open floor plan has a large kitchen with two islands, a breakfast nook and a great room with fireplace and built-ins. There is a 3 season porch off the kitchen with a fireplace, dining area and sitting area. The X-detail is repeated in the stair railing, kitchen island and cabinetry, and primary bedroom cabinets. The high ceilings are highlighted with beams and shiplap and the wide oak wood floors warm up the mostly white interior. The furnishings are coastal as well with various shades of blue used throughout. Unique lighting, gold tone plumbing fixtures and hardware are used to warm up the spaces. Outdoor spaces include a covered seating area, pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen.

A small addition that includes a breakfast banquette and built-in mud room cabinetry. Carefully sized windows, French door and skylight bring lots of light to the space for a fresh, inviting look.
The breakfast banquette serves as a convenient location for a dog door to the rear patio.

The Jelinek country residence is nestled in a Cragsmoor, New York, cottage community in the Catskill Mountains. The expansion and renovation of this simple farmhouse created a bright, sunlit breakfast room off a kitchen outfitted with Shaker-style cherry cabinets and granite countertops. The new kitchen showcases the owner’s collection of farm tools and folk-art objects in open shelves that integrated lights and electrical outlets.
The renovation also included the construction of a new front entry to a large wraparound porch, new lighting, custom walnut occasional tables and built-in library and stereo cabinetry.
