As expected, we determined that several concrete supports were necessary and needed to be built to support the expanded structure. Our plan included both creative aesthetic and functional layout modifications to transform this ordinary kitchen into a spacious, well-lit, highly functional, stylish and welcoming space to cook, gather and entertain. The bump-out allowed for more functional cabinetry and a dining table which before was placed in a corner of the previous cramped kitchen. Now, there is a wide open space from the adjacent living room and a clear path to a 5’ French door opening to the pool deck. The homeowners also elected for us to extend a new roof over their existing deck creating a nice shaded space to entertain guests. The island, which serves as the central gathering spot. is eye catching with contrasting dark cocoa colored cabinets and stunning natural looking Cambria quartz countertops. Large, easily accessible deep drawers provide much needed storage for pots, pans and lids as well as expansive countertop space for everyday prep and family get-togethers. We just completed this beautiful kitchen remodel in Tolleson, Arizona. It has been complete with brand new flooring, cabinets, countertops, and appliances. We added more cabinet space with the extended pantry as well as cabinets underneath the extended bar. We completed the bar with a beautiful waterfall countertop and implemented a pop-up outlet that also supports wireless charging.

We loved doing this renovation. The previous kitchen had 2 walls enclosing it. One of which was load bearing. We removed the walls and added new hardwood flooring. We were able to keep some of the flooring and blended where appropriate. We added the pantry between to door and patio doors to extend the kitchen into the adjoining space. Brenda didn't need an island with seating so we used the back portion for additional storage. We matched the crown moulding and extended it thoughout the main floor. We removed the exisiting brick fireplace and pulled the colours from the granite to a ledgestone. For the hearth we added what Brenda and I called "shoes" a matt finished granite hearth. The grey tones carry throughout the main floor into the main bath reno. New cabinetry at 36" height, with pullout storage ensures proper use of space, and under the sink we always like to add a rollout shelf. Who wants to get under the sink cabinet?

While our client already had a shaded area built in to structure of their home, they were looking for a solution that extends all the way to the pool. Our design consultant designed our Louvered Pergola System to be installed without columns, anchoring to the home with additional hangers for support. With our smart shade structure they were able to extend their outdoor living space and have the possibility of opening and closing the louvers as they please.

The Leader Bedroom suite is on the main Living Level and 3 Bedrooms / 2 Bathrooms are on the upper level (also a play area / loft and wrap around attic for hvac & storage). The upper level is entirely within the hipped roof and there is a 24’ tall Entry Foyer and Center Atrium. There is a lower concrete slab and concrete pillars raising the Main Living Level to 21’ above the adjacent street. The four center concrete pillars support a 6x6 steel tube structure through the 2nd Floor and Attic at the center Atrium. There is a lower storage level & Party Deck below the main Living Level midway at the 10’ elevation. There is an Elevator and rear wood stair with stops at the Storage Level and Main Living Level. Theres also an oversized steel spiral stair extending up from the lower floor to the front deck, facing the bay. This home lives big with an open plan on each floor, inside & outside party spaces and 4 bedrooms. Construction was completed in February 2024. This Beach house is unique but not Bavido Architectures only Mississippi Home. We have designed two homes in Diamond Head Mississippi, another Raised Beach House on Fiber St in Bay St Louis, another raised Beach House in Royal Oaks – Pass Christian Mississippi and another in Waveland Mississippi. While our client already had a shaded area built in to structure of their home, they were looking for a solution that extends all the way to the pool. Our design consultant designed our Louvered Pergola System to be installed without columns, anchoring to the home with additional hangers for support. With our smart shade structure they were able to extend their outdoor living space and have the possibility of opening and closing the louvers as they please.
