This Marietta house built in the 1970's was ready for a complete overhaul with the gentrification of the surrounding area. The kitchen and bathrooms were the main focus as well as all floors and new updated paint. In addition some walls were removed to create a more open flowing plan that is typical of newer homes. The result is a bright, cheery home to welcome a new generation of young homebuyers.

This room is painted in Sherwin Williams Pavestone (SW7642) with a flat finish. The carpet is the 12’ width Cornerstone Series (2500) by DreamWeaver in Latte (550).

The open concept floor plan creates the illusion of a larger space and allows for good traffic flow and circulation. Hanging lights shimmer across the large ceiling adding the extra touch. The wall color combinations add a nice uplifting blend for this family. The fireplace is now covered with stone where the old wall used to close off the two rooms. The hallway to the bedrooms contains track lighting to add the dimension especially at night.

The backsplash is a time-honored look from Daltile’s Rittenhouse Square ceramic tile collection in white (0100) with Mapei’s warm grey (93) grout.The cabinetry door style is Aspen (SZSEI-SN) in Antique color. It features a corner cabinet and glass doors are added for variation in the corner and above the microwave. The granite counters are in steel gray with a 1/4” bevel. The room is painted in Sherwin Williams Pavestone (SW7642) with a flat finish.

This traditional home was stuck in 1990 when we came into this project--deep red walls, faux painting, & lots of brown paint colors. We redesigned this entire house & turned it into an elegant farmhouse with new paint colors, hardwood floors, and a new kitchen. Chelsea Davis Photography
