The Book Matched Slab Door is a modern wooden door design with an organic stainless steel inlay running vertically up the center. The metal inlay is hand polished to give off a mirror-like appearance. This door is versatile in that it can be designed for a pocket door, swinging door, as well as a pivot door. Resource Furniture worked with Turkel Design to furnish Axiom Desert House, a custom-designed, luxury prefab home nestled in sunny Palm Springs. Resource Furniture provided the Square Line Sofa with pull-out end tables; the Raia walnut dining table and Orca dining chairs; the Flex Outdoor modular sofa on the lanai; as well as the Tango Sectional, Swing, and Kali Duo wall beds. These transforming, multi-purpose and small-footprint furniture pieces allow the 1,200-square-foot home to feel and function like one twice the size, without compromising comfort or high-end style. Axiom Desert House made its debut in February 2019 as a Modernism Week Featured Home and gained national attention for its groundbreaking innovations in high-end prefab construction and flexible, sustainable design.

In this guest bathroom Medallion Cabinetry in the Maple Bella Biscotti Door Style Vanity with Cambria Montgomery Quartz countertop with 4” high backsplash was installed. The vanity is accented with Amerock Blackrock pulls and knobs. The shower tile is 8” HexArt Deco Turquoise Hexagon Matte tile for the back shower wall and back of the niche. The shower walls and niche sides feature 4”x16” Ice White Glossy subway tile. Cardinal Shower Heavy Swing Door. Coordinating 8” HexArt Turquoise 8” Hexagon Matte Porcelain tile for the bath floor. Mitzi Angle 15” Polished Nickel wall sconces were installed above the vanity. Native Trails Trough sink in Pearl. Moen Genta faucet, hand towel bar, and robe hook. Kohler Cimarron two piece toilet.

The original master bathroom in this home had a separate tub and shower with lots of unused space and a cramped vanity area. Riverside Construction removed the tub and shower and added a large, steam shower complete with a seat and large window. With the reclaimed space, a new vanity area with seating was added including speciality storage for curling irons and hair dryers. Beautiful finishings like the Rivera pebble shower floor by Emser tile, Pergamino granite countertops and custom linen storage completed this beautiful master bathroom remodel.

The homeowners asked the designer of this kitchen to create a larger, modern space that would “entertain a crowd.” A light color palette featuring Vanguard MDF in Nordic White was selected to brighten up the space and reflect the coastal view just outside the kitchen windows. The previous space underutilized the center of the room, and the decision to include two islands created a viable space for seating for guests. To create this space, however, the designer was challenged to remove a walk-in pantry and add a large steel beam. To offset the white and create dimension, Vanguard Plus in a Matte Foundry finish on rough sawn euro oak veneer was used for the island bases and then wrapped in the same porcelain material used on the backsplashes. And floor-to-ceiling wall cabinets more than made the storage space, packed with organizational extras like an appliance garage to keep countertops clear, swing-out spice rack within easy reach of the stove, and tall pull-out pantries to house cookware and cleaning supplies.
