The previous front porch — captured in the “before” photos of the slideshow — was puzzling. The owner of this two-family home in New Bedford wasn’t sure how it had evolved, but both the first- and second-floor porch levels appeared to have been added on top of previous porches, which made for very curious enclosing guardrails. When the owner approached KHS, she was ready to completely remove the haphazard porches and start fresh with something more in keeping with her American Foursquare-style home. The new porches allow more daylight to reach the interior at both levels, while maintaining privacy from the street with guardrails containing paneled piers and tightly spaced balusters. New wide steps that have lower riser heights set the stage for a gracious entry. Since low maintenance materials were a priority for this homeowner, much of the porch is comprised of Azek trim elements. The porch decking is mahogany. New tapered posts and a gently sloped upper-porch roof meet the inset upper-level guardrail in a manner reminiscent of some of the more traditional porch treatments in the neighborhood. Transforming the porches has transformed this home’s curb appeal.

Our clients had this beautiful idea of creating a space that's as welcoming as it is timeless, where every family gathering feels special, and every room invites you in. Picture a kitchen that's not just for cooking but for connecting, where family baking contests and meals turn into cherished memories. This heart of the home seamlessly flows into the dining and living areas, creating an open, inviting space for everyone to enjoy together. We didn't overlook the essentials – the office and laundry room are designed to keep life running smoothly while keeping you part of the family's daily hustle and bustle. The kids' rooms? We planned them with an eye on the future, choosing designs that will age gracefully as they do. The basement has been reimagined as a versatile sanctuary, perfect for both relaxation and entertainment, balancing rustic charm with a touch of elegance. The master suite is your personal retreat, leading to a peaceful outdoor area ideal for quiet moments. Its bathroom transforms your daily routine into a spa-like experience, blending luxury with tranquility. In essence, we've woven together each space to not just tell our clients' stories but enrich their daily lives with beauty, functionality, and a little outdoor magic. It's all about creating a home that grows and evolves with them. How's that for a place to call home?

The team at Cummings Architects is often approached to enhance an otherwise wonderful home by designing a custom kitchen that is both beautiful and functional. Located near Patton Park in Hamilton Massachusetts this charming Victorian had a dated kitchen, mudroom, and waning entry hall that seemed out of place and certainly weren’t providing the owners with the kind of space and atmosphere they wanted. At their initial visit, Mathew made mental sketches of the immediate possibilities – an open, friendly kitchen concept with bright windows to provide a seamless connection to the exterior yard spaces. As the design evolved, additional details were added such as a spacious pantry that tucks smartly under the stair landing and accommodates an impressive collection of culinary supplies. In addition, the front entry, formerly a rather dark and dreary space, was opened up and is now a light-filled hall that welcomes visitors warmly, while maintaining the charm of the original Victorian fabric. The interior of this home blurs the line between modern and traditional, forging a relaxed living environment. The arched, copper porch, which features Eldorado Stone’s modern LedgeCut33, creates an inviting presentation with its continuous linear pattern displayed throughout this residence. Additionally, Eldorado Stone’s Sage LegdeCut33 adds a modern element with its lines while its cool color palette blends into the surrounding elements, which allows the home to reveal itself progressively. We often get asked whether it is suitable to install a freestanding bathtub in an alcove. The answer – absolutely! Freestanding bathtubs have been around for nearly 150 years, and they are still part of every day design. Available in endless shapes, colors and sizes. The freestanding bathtub has really evolved in terms of materials, aesthetics and comfort. We recently collaborated with the incredibly talented Andria of Andria Fromm Interiors in Nashville. Our customer Jenny was renovating her bathroom and Andria had a stunning vision. Jenny wanted a shower as well as being able to enjoy soaking in a bathtub. They decided that installing a freestanding bathtub in an alcove they created was the best option to enjoy the best of both worlds. The end result is simply stunning. She completely transformed the room by wrapping the entire bathroom in tile. A beautiful mix marble, and tile adds dimension to the entire design. Andria integrated some Earthy elements as well, some greenery and wood trim. Natural light enters from the window centered above the T & L Adoni freestanding jetted bathtub providing a view of the garden. The soft white matte finish on the bathtub gives the appearance of natural stone with a clean crisp finish. Sunlight bounces off the elegant gold accents bringing a charming glow into the bathroom.

In the ever-evolving landscape of high-end residential architecture, Antonovich Group continues to push boundaries with their breathtaking modern futuristic luxury villa exteriors. These architectural masterpieces seamlessly blend cutting-edge design principles with sophisticated landscape integration, creating homes that feel like they've been transported from tomorrow. Redefining Dubai Villa Facade Design The hallmark of Antonovich Group's approach lies in their ability to transform traditional villa concepts into stunning contemporary statements. Their Dubai villa facade design philosophy embraces clean geometric lines, expansive glass surfaces, and innovative material combinations that create striking visual impact while maintaining functional excellence. Each facade tells a unique story through carefully orchestrated proportions, where every element serves both aesthetic and practical purposes. The integration of natural stone, sleek metals, and floor-to-ceiling glazing creates a dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces that's both dramatic and inviting. These facades don't just shelter—they inspire, featuring bold cantilevers, sculptural elements, and seamless transitions that blur the boundaries between architecture and art. Illuminating Excellence: Exterior Lighting Design UAE Perhaps nowhere is Antonovich Group's attention to detail more evident than in their exterior lighting design UAE projects. Their lighting schemes transform these architectural gems into nocturnal spectacles, using strategic illumination to highlight key design features while creating warm, welcoming atmospheres. The lighting design extends far beyond mere functionality, incorporating LED strips that trace architectural lines, uplighting that dramatizes textural surfaces, and ambient systems that create layers of visual interest throughout the evening hours. Water features become luminous focal points, while landscape elements are carefully lit to maintain the villa's connection to its surroundings even after dark. Landscape Integration: Where Architecture Meets Nature The surrounding landscape design serves as the perfect complement to these futuristic structures. Antonovich Group creates outdoor environments that feel like natural extensions of the villa's interior spaces, featuring infinity pools that seem to merge with the horizon, sculptural plantings that echo the building's geometric forms, and outdoor living areas that rival the luxury found indoors. These landscapes aren't afterthoughts—they're integral components of the overall design vision, incorporating sustainable practices, climate-appropriate vegetation, and water-wise design principles that ensure long-term beauty and environmental responsibility. The Antonovich Group Difference What sets Antonovich Group apart in the luxury villa market is their holistic approach to design. Every project represents a complete lifestyle vision, where architecture, landscape, lighting, and interior spaces work in perfect harmony. Their futuristic aesthetic never sacrifices comfort or livability, instead enhancing both through thoughtful innovation and meticulous craftsmanship. These aren't just houses—they're statements about how luxury living can evolve while respecting both environmental consciousness and timeless design principles. Each Antonovich Group villa stands as a testament to the possibility of creating homes that are simultaneously forward-thinking and deeply rooted in the art of gracious living.
