Inspiration for a timeless dark wood floor bedroom remodel in Dallas with beige walls

In the design stages many details were incorporated in this classic kitchen to give it dimension since the surround cabinets, counters and backsplash were white. Polished nickel plumbing, hardware and custom grilles on feature cabinets along with the island pendants add shine, while finer details such as inset doors, furniture kicks on non-working areas and lofty crown details add a layering effect in the millwork. Surround counters as well as 3" x 6" backsplash tile are Calacutta Gold stone, while island counter surface is walnut. Conveniences include a 60" Wolf range, a 36" Subzero refrigerator and freezer and two farmhouse sinks by Kallista. The kitchen also boasts two dishwashers (one in the island and one to the right of the sink cabinet under the window) and a coffee bar area with a built-in Miele. Photo by Pete Maric.

Second story sleeping loft located on Tybee Island in Savannah, GA. Behind the white flowing curtains are built in beds each adorned with a nautical reading light and built-in hideaway niches. The space is light and airy with painted gray floors, all white walls, old rustic beams and headers, wood paneling, tongue and groove ceilings, dormers, vintage rattan furniture, mid-century painted pieces, and a cool hangout spot for the kids. Note : You're viewing the non-styled version of this site. Alpert House Edgartown Massachusetts An expansion was planned for a simple vacation home on Martha’s Vineyard. The owner wanted a large, completely open living-dining-kitchen area and at the same time to preserve the “ordinary but sweet” look of the original house. The solution was to add a wing with the same materials and roof slope, which mimicked the details of the original house on the entry façade. Eyebrow windows, which light the high space above the kitchen, were added to the vocabulary. The addition’s post and beam construction allowed for a soaring column-free living-dining-kitchen and a new master bedroom and bath on plank flooring above. This dramatic construction is clearly expressed on the poolside façade and is enhanced with sunscreens, cable-enclosed balconies and accordion folding doors, which allow the entire length of the long wall to be completely opened. Inspiration for a rustic entryway remodel in Other

Rachel Kay - Applebox Imaging This model home is in a community at the foot of the Texas Hill Country. The setting is bucolic and appeals to families as well as active adults – the target market for this model home. The builder, Brookfield Residential, offers four distinct styles of homes, one of which is the Modern Farmhouse. The design is focused on blending modern trends with traditional farmhouse characteristics. Traditional farmhouse interiors were simple and practical. Walls were often whitewashed wood, white or light paint. Hardwood floors were lightly stained and varnished for a natural look. Bringing exterior siding and board and batten inside gives dimension and interest to white walls. A barn door opens into a study niche at the entry and the popped-up ceiling is enhanced with board and batten. The most popular features of this home include the open floor plan, large kitchen that opens to the great room and outdoor covered patio and the master suite with over-sized shower and walk-in closet. The lines between indoor and outdoor are blurred by the nano sliding doors that open up the house to the back porch.
