Handle-less kitchen combining melamine wood finish doors, Schmidt Canyon, and micron doors in blue, Schmidt Nordic Blue.
The handles are stainless steel strips just under the worktop functioning as grip handle, Schmidt Eolis range. The same is for the tall units, but in vertical, Schmidt Vertica range. To finish the look the quartz worktop in white brings a cooler feeling to the kitchen, as well as more lighting. Instead of splash-back the customer opted for an up-stand in the same material as the worktop and tiles in blue behind the hob.
The appliances chosen include American Full Fridge Freezer with water dispenser, built in double oven and single oven, induction hob and wall extractor in stainless steel. The presence of stainless steel matches between appliances, hand grip handles and the under-mounted sink and tap. Also the kick-board or plinth is 10 cm high (allowing more storage space and maximisation of your kitchen storage) matches the handle in stainless steel.
For lighting the customer chose ceiling spot lights and under wall unit lighting.
To finish the look the customer went for white walls, and ceramic tiling for the floor. The ceramic tiling in a light brown with a touch of grey works as an intermediary between the kitchen and the wooden doors.
In terms of cabinets and storage, the kitchen has two tall larder units with internal drawers by the fridge, storage above the fridge and ovens, drawers under the ovens and hob, as well as three extra set of drawers. The dishwasher unit is by the sink, and the bins are in the sink unit, Schmidt Kitchens Dorking offers different options for the sink unit and bins. The wall units are 780 mm high and 370 mm deep, they have grip handles and under lighting.

The sunroom windows are JELD-WEN clad on the exterior to reduce maintenance long term. The remainder of the trim on the home will be painted to match the Mesa Red of the windows. The sunroom extension provides a wonderful view of the property and the pond.

Kitchen fabricated with slab doors in solid color water based conversion varnish with matching kick-plate and custom appliance panels.

Project Overview
This project showcases Windy City Painters completing professional interior and exterior painting services for a Chicago-area client. The building's vintage character called for careful color selection and precise application to honor original architectural details while refreshing every surface.
Materials and Products Used
Windy City Painters selects premium paints from trusted manufacturers including Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, chosen specifically for Chicago's climate demands. Primers, fillers, and caulks are all professional-grade for lasting adhesion and durability.
Our Step-by-Step Process
Step 1 - Prep and Repairs: All surfaces are cleaned, sanded, and patched. Cracks in plaster or drywall are filled and feathered smooth before any painting begins.
Step 2 - Priming: A quality primer is applied to ensure proper adhesion, uniform sheen, and long-term durability across all surfaces.
Step 3 - Paint Application: Multiple coats are applied using the right tools for each surface - brushes, rollers, and sprayers where appropriate.
Step 4 - Final Inspection: Windy City Painters conducts a detailed walkthrough with the homeowner to confirm every detail meets our high standard.
Chicago-Specific Challenges
Older Chicago homes present unique challenges including lead paint layers, aging horsehair plaster, moisture from harsh winters, and intricate vintage millwork. Windy City Painters is trained to handle all of these safely and professionally.
Results
Clients consistently report dramatic improvements in curb appeal, interior atmosphere, and overall home value after working with Windy City Painters.
Pro Tips Before You Start

Step into one of our most cherished client’s homes for yet another transformation of their amazing space. Project Manager, Tony Cicchino; Designer, Justina Auer; and TWO of our crews once again knocked it out of the park for this long-term client. Our team breathed new life into the exterior of this home by creating unmatched curb appeal. Gone is the old, tired façade, replaced with a refreshing sage green siding that radiates sophistication. The custom portico elevates the home’s grandeur to new heights and creates a welcoming view every time you pull into the driveway. Venturing inside, the transformation continues in the great room where we carefully selected new windows and pocket doors to match the rest of the interior. To maintain the integrity of the space, we opted for an almost identical bamboo flooring to match the existing style found throughout the rest of the home. One of the focal point of any great room is the fireplace, and this project was no exception. With meticulous attention to detail, a Cambria Quartz hearthstone was artfully installed, providing the perfect finishing touch to the splendor of the room. We can’t wait to see what the homeowners have in mind for their next renovation with Bennett!

Outdoor furniture from Restoration Hardware really made this Houston outdoor living space design project shine.
“It really went well,” says Wayne Franks, owner of Outdoor Homescapes of Houston. “It's not a huge space, but moving the existing two columns about four feet and bringing the roof out only three feet made all the difference in the world.”
“This particular client wanted a larger space to entertain,” says senior designer Lisha Maxey, who served as an outdoor furniture consultant while managing construction for the project.
The original space, Lisha explains, had two oddly placed columns blocking a clear view of the beautiful pool area from inside the home. “We removed those columns and gave her three more feet of roof, which extended her living area while also giving her the view she wanted.”
Since the client - a woman in her mid-50s with grown children who visit frequently - only wanted a small outdoor kitchen island with a 30-inch RCS grill Outdoor Homescapes closed up a French door that led from the master bedroom (which she never used) and created a new stucco wall for the kitchen.
“I would definitely call the style of this space ‘transitional,” says Lisha. The client is a very eclectic world traveler and a collector of art, yet wanted her outdoor living space to feel like a warm, homey living room once we placed the furniture and décor. In the end, her finishes centered around rustic stone, detailed columns and furniture leaning towards the contemporary.”
Much of the warmth in the space, she says, comes from the colors of the dry-stacked Sunset Canyon ledgestone. “It looks just like it sounds – like the sun setting in a deep canyon!”
“The columns are unique – decorative and fluted,” adds Wayne.
The client, who’d received five free hours of outdoor furniture consultation as part of an ongoing promotion, also wanted Lisha to help her select, buy and help place furnishings.
“I believe that now - more than ever - consumers are looking for turn-key operations in any type of service industry - a ‘one-stop-shop,’ so to speak,” says Lisha. “It gives us a more personal touch with the client, as well as an edge in the industry in terms of selling our designs, as the client is reassured that we’ll work with them in every aspect to give them the outdoor living space of their dreams.”
The client ended up choosing the Biscayne collection – including a chair that rocks and swivels - from Restoration Hardware. They also went with a lower, unique teak coffee table from the Belvedere collection.
“We mixed wicker with teak for an equally soft and hard look and added pops of color to bring out the beautiful art collection inside,” says Lisha. “The neutral gray wicker, by the way, was the perfect match for the distressed teak coffee table and credenza. The grays of the Key West granite countertop also echoed this color palette.”
For the fabric, Lisha helped keep it neutral with a Mocha linen and popped the color with royal blue throw pillows matching the area rug: “To make the space truly her own, we added some unique copper pots from her collection and a few items she's collected abroad.”

The Lorraine Modern Residence is a fully integrated front and backyard project designed and built by The Northstone Group, the #1 landscape architecture, design-build, and custom pool construction firm in Montreal.
This contemporary modern home required a landscape approach that matched its architectural clarity while delivering long-term performance, precision detailing, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Every element of the project was designed and executed in-house by The Northstone Group’s team of landscape architects, builders, and pool specialists.
The backyard is anchored by a custom concrete pool, designed and built by Northstone’s in-house pool construction team. The pool features a beach entry for ease of use and resort-level comfort, as well as a refined waterfall edge that creates a clean visual transition between the water and surrounding landscape. These elements were engineered for durability, safety, and long-term performance, not just aesthetics.
The hardscape throughout the project includes architectural pavers selected to complement the home’s modern lines and neutral palette. These materials extend from the backyard into a custom paver driveway, creating a cohesive arrival experience and reinforcing the architectural language of the residence from the street.
Custom-built architectural planters were integrated into both the front and backyard to frame views, define circulation, and soften the hardscape while maintaining a contemporary, minimal aesthetic. Planting was intentionally restrained and structured, chosen to complement the modern architecture and perform reliably in Quebec’s climate.
An outdoor kitchen completes the backyard living space, positioned to support entertaining while preserving clean sightlines across the pool and landscape. The overall layout was designed to maximize usability, flow, and visual balance, ensuring the space functions as a true extension of the home.
With over 25 years of experience and a team of 180+ in-house professionals, The Northstone Group delivers landscape architecture, design-build services, and custom concrete pool construction under one roof. This integrated approach allows for precise coordination, consistent quality, and full accountability from concept through completion.
Projects like the Lorraine Modern Residence reflect why luxury homeowners across Montreal trust The Northstone Group as the leading authority in contemporary landscape architecture and high-end outdoor construction.

A great kitchen with a spectacular view overlooking downtown Milwaukee had one little tiny problem - boring cabinets. Not to worry, we have lots of great ideas!
We spiced things up with fresh new cabinet doors and drawer fronts using Creamy Zebrano Exotic wood veneer. Why does it look so cool you ask? The technique is called "Book Matching". A term used in woodworking. Meaning: (in our world) all the lines of the veneer line up from one cabinet to the next. It creates a uniform, super custom look of symmetry from cabinet to cabinet. Take a closer look and you will notice the pattern.
We did make some modifications to these cabinets too. We added new spice pullouts, replaced doors with drawers, new waste and recycling bins - all making this spectacular kitchen more efficient and updated with modern storage amenities. Now this kitchen fits the style of it's owner - stylish, sophisticated and super cool!

Creating the perfect fall home design, Pedrovazpaulo Real Estate and floorplan is one of the best ways to make your living space warm, functional, and visually attractive during the cozy autumn season. Fall is the time when families spend more time indoors, enjoy warm colors, and focus on comfort. A well-planned home layout not only improves beauty but also increases convenience for everyday living. A smart fall home design and floorplan should include open spaces, natural lighting, warm textures, and practical room arrangements. Whether you are building a new home or renovating your current one, choosing the right layout is essential. Modern homeowners also look for stylish house design plan options that combine beauty with efficiency. In this article, we will explore how to create the perfect fall home design and floorplan, discuss modern layout trends, and explain how house plan design, home architecture design, home design plans, and home plan design work together to build a dream home.
Why Fall Home Design Matters
A good fall home design and floorplan helps your house feel welcoming and peaceful. During autumn, people prefer warm interiors, comfortable seating areas, and rooms that allow better natural light. A thoughtful layout supports these needs while improving the overall value of the property. Fall-inspired homes often include earthy tones like brown, beige, orange, and cream. Large windows are also common because they allow sunlight to brighten indoor spaces. Open kitchens connected to dining and living rooms are another popular feature in modern house design plan ideas. When your fall home design and floorplan is properly planned, every room serves a purpose while maintaining visual harmony.
Key Features of a Perfect Floorplan
1. Open Living Spaces
One major part of a strong fall home design and floorplan is an open-concept living area. Combining the kitchen, dining room, and living room creates a spacious feeling and improves family interaction. Modern house plan design focuses on flexibility. Open spaces make entertaining guests easier and allow better furniture arrangement for seasonal decorations.
2. Functional Entryway
Your entrance should feel warm and organized. A good mudroom or foyer is essential in any fall home design and floorplan because it helps manage shoes, coats, and seasonal accessories. This practical idea is often included in professional home design plans for families who want both beauty and convenience.
3. Cozy Bedrooms
Bedrooms should provide comfort and privacy. Soft lighting, warm colors, and smart furniture placement improve relaxation. A strong home plan design ensures bedrooms are away from noisy areas for better peace.
4. Outdoor Connection
Fall is perfect for enjoying patios, balconies, and garden views. Many experts in home architecture design recommend adding sliding glass doors or covered patios to connect indoor and outdoor spaces. This improves both beauty and property value.
Importance of House Design Planning
A successful fall home design and floorplan starts with a detailed house design plan. Without proper planning, homes may look attractive but fail in functionality. A professional house design plan includes room sizes, traffic flow, ventilation, and furniture placement. It also ensures your budget is used wisely. Many homeowners regret skipping this step because poor layouts create long-term inconvenience. Good planning also supports future needs such as children, guests, or work-from-home spaces.
Role of Home Architecture Design
Strong home architecture design gives personality to your house. It combines exterior beauty with interior efficiency. The roof style, wall structure, windows, and natural light all affect the success of your fall home design and floorplan. For example, homes with high ceilings and large windows feel brighter and more open during fall. Natural materials like wood and stone also add warmth and seasonal charm. Professional home architecture design creates a balance between modern trends and personal lifestyle needs.
Choosing the Right Home Design Plans
Selecting the right home design plans helps avoid expensive mistakes. Your plan should match your land size, family size, and future goals. Single-story homes are ideal for small families and elderly residents, while double-story layouts work better for growing families. Your fall home design and floorplan should also include storage spaces, laundry areas, and practical bathroom locations. Customized home design plans are often better than copied layouts because they reflect your exact needs.
Modern Trends in Home Plan Design
Today’s home plan design focuses on simplicity, energy efficiency, and natural comfort. Some popular trends include:
- Minimalist kitchens with hidden storage
- Multi-purpose rooms for office and guest use
- Energy-saving windows and insulation
- Smart lighting systems
- Indoor plants and natural decoration
Conclusion
A well-planned fall home design and floorplan creates a home that feels warm, beautiful, and highly functional. From open living spaces to cozy bedrooms and outdoor connections, every detail matters when designing a seasonal home. Using a smart house design plan, strong house plan design, creative home architecture design, detailed home design plans, and practical home plan design helps you achieve the perfect balance of style and comfort. Whether you are building from scratch or improving your current house, investing in the right fall home design and floorplan will bring long-term satisfaction and better living quality. A thoughtful home is not just a place to live—it becomes a place to truly enjoy every season. Also you can read in homemaxe website for Pedrovazpaulo Real Estate
