Showing the homeowners how to visually "correct" (downplay) the doghouse detailing on the front gable which they dislike. This is accomplished via color as well as replacing the shingles with the siding, see BEFORE picture. 2. I've also added in the French door they're planning as well as lower floor porch deck. 3. They want more contemporary railings and I also suggested beefing up the columns which now reflect more contemporary styling too. 4. Next is just a quickie rendering showing them a wider, fan-shaped walkway with flagstone to tie into the gray/charcoal color story they've settled on for the home's exterior.

As a luxury spec home builder, each year Pike Properties builds a home that tests their limits and pushes their budget to the max. It's their opportunity to show what they are capable of, learn how to execute more challenging building elements, and build up their portfolio. For 2019, this was that home. Upon the acquisition of a lot that offered over 300 feet of depth, it was time to build a home that isn't usually doable to build in areas close to Uptown Charlotte, NC, where Pike Properties builds. That is, a home that has an expansive footprint. This home measures around 100 feet in depth, and that allowed for the most unique feature, a Porte Cochere that leads to a motor court. Porte Cochere's originated in the late 18th and early 19th century in luxury private mansions and public buildings, to allow horse carriages to drop off passengers in all weather conditions, without passengers being exposed to the elements. Today, many luxury private residences, and still many public buildings, have them. Welcome to a your of Pike Properties' 2019 Showcase Home! Enjoy!

Aquatica’s True Ofuro Mini Japanese soaking tub has been inspired by the ancient Japanese bathing traditions and its design heavily influenced by the traditional Ofuro soaking bathtubs. Following the launch of our True Ofuro bathtub, many of our customers kept requested an even smaller version of Japanese tub that would be practical and useful in applications where no other bathtub would fit. This, in a nutshell, is how this small and tall version of ‘sit and soak’, solid surface Japanese bathtub was conceived. True Ofuro Mini Japanese style bathtub features a deeper design for a comfortable, full-body immersion. Designed in Italy, this immaculately sculpted model is also available with an optional inline water heater and digital control panel which includes a temperature display. This feature will help reduce water consumption and provide a prolonged soaking experience in very comfortable water temperatures. The True Ofuro Mini Japanese style bathtub is taller and deeper and features a slightly elevated rim for improved neck and head support, as well as a convenient ergonomic built-in seat, allowing the body to comfortably emerge to maximum water capacity. The height of the True Ofuro Mini Japanese style soaking bathtub is substantially taller than the original True Ofuro bathtub, and therefore we recommend people who are shorter than 170cm also purchase our stylish teak wood step. Klopf Architecture, Outer Space Landscape Architects, Sezen & Moon Structural Engineer and Flegels Construction updated a classic Eichler open, indoor-outdoor home. Everyone loved the classic, original bones of this house, but it was in need of a major facelift both inside and out. The owners also wanted to remove the barriers between the kitchen and great room, and increase the size of the master bathroom as well as make other layout changes. No addition to the house was contemplated. The owners worked with Klopf Architecture in part because of Klopf’s extensive mid-century modern / Eichler design portfolio, and in part because one of their neighbors who had worked with Klopf on their Eichler home remodel referred them. The Klopf team knew how to update the worn finishes to make a more sophisticated, higher quality home that both looks better and functions better. In conjunction with the atrium and the landscaped rear yard / patio, the glassy living room feels open on both sides and allows an indoor / outdoor flow throughout. The new, natural wood exterior siding runs through the house from inside to outside to inside again, updating one of the classic design features of the Eichler homes. Picking up on the wood siding, walnut vanities and cabinets offset the white walls. Gray porcelain tiles evoke the concrete slab floors and flow from interior to exterior to make the spaces appear to flow together. Similarly the ceiling decking has the same white-washed finish from inside to out. The continuity of materials and space enhances the sense of flow. The large kitchen, perfect for entertaining, has a wall of built-ins and an oversized island. There’s plenty of storage and space for the whole group to prep and cook together. One unique approach to the master bedroom is the bed wall. The head of the bed is tucked within a line of built-in wardrobes with a high window above. Replacing the master closet with this wall of wardrobes allowed for both a larger bathroom and a larger bedroom. This 1,953 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom Double Gable Eichler remodeled single-family house is located in Mountain View in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
