This beautiful 1950's craftsman needed a redo, inside and out. After gutting it down to it's studs, the main floor and basement were redesigned for much more useable space. Three tiny bedrooms upstairs became a large master with a double sink on suite and a guest bedroom with a beautiful new bathroom. The stairway that was in the kitchen was relocated so the kitchen became larger and much more usable. The basement went from a red and orange monstrosity to a soothing family room, bedroom and new bathroom as well as an updated laundry room and storage closet. New windows and doors, as well as an egress window was added to make it code compliant. A new roof and fireplace finished off the remodel of this cozy, colorful craftsman cottage. This Park Hill landscape design transformed a Denver backyard into a private luxury retreat for a professional couple seeking an escape from busy city life. Griffith Designs provided custom landscape design and project installation coordination, developing a personalized outdoor environment that balances comfort, function, privacy and the homeowners’ vision for elevated everyday living. A premium StruXure pergola anchors the new outdoor living space, providing adaptable shade and protection for relaxing and entertaining. Beneath and around it, a Belgard paver patio creates a polished foundation, while an Ogee fire pit and pizza oven establish a distinctive gathering area for cooking, dining and enjoying evenings outdoors. The project also included a new garden walkway, thoughtfully selected plants, landscape boulders and privacy landscaping that softens the surroundings and gives the property a more secluded atmosphere. Custom landscape lighting adds warmth, highlights key features and allows the homeowners to enjoy their outdoor spaces well into the evening. To create a cohesive renovation, the existing side patio was repaired and integrated with the new landscape design. The completed Park Hill backyard combines premium outdoor amenities, natural materials and carefully planned planting to deliver a welcoming, sophisticated retreat—bringing resort-inspired outdoor living into the heart of Denver.

This quaint living room space is especially cozy. For this design we incorporated a variety of natural products to achieve a soft, subtle, and most importantly comfortable space. As you kick back and relax on the oversized plush sofa it will be hard to take your attention from the custom media center. We designed this media center using grey plywood veneer which gives it depth as well as a finished natural wood look. We hung two wall sconces one on each side of the media center to provide just the right amount of light to perfect the natural nook ambiance we were trying to achieve here. Each wall sconce is made of capiz shells more commonly known as windowpane oysters. This room has amazing natural design details down to the tops of the tables. Each of the end tables has a starburst effect in the black forest grove wood tops which are accented by a chrome finish on the iron table legs. The centerpiece that completes this nook is the stunning reclaimed wood coffee table that has personality with its natural cracks and crevices intact. pierreji.com

Despite physical disabilities that limit his financial opportunities, Allen wholly devotes himself to making intricate and beautiful papercut works. He says that his motivation to create work is to “keep busy and make people happy.” Each of Allen’s pieces is made with a single sheet of black paper. He chooses to create his work out of paper because it is inexpensive. He explains, "You don’t mind if you mess it up. If you do, then you just crumple it up and get a new piece of paper." Allen’s artwork takes incredible patience and vision. He loves selling through ArtLifting because it allows him to to share his vision. He says, "It makes me feel good when people enjoy what I do."
