Natural Bark siding being replaced with our new SmartBark Technology.

For this project, our client came to us looking for a full-service company to build a custom, high-efficient new home with minimal exterior maintenance. In order to achieve this, we used a different medium of product, including split-faced concrete block to natural cedar siding, both of which require zero maintenance. The design throughout was congruent with the contemporary farmhouse aesthetic and highly-efficient goal of the client and adhering to the energy standards of Efficiency Vermont. A few of the features included a finished concrete floor, a cutting-edge wood-fired boiler system to efficiently heat the home.

Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury.

Maple flooring is a bright, attractive and classic hardwood standard in the United States, celebrated as the state tree of Wisconsin, Vermont, West Virginia, and New York. The light, pale tone of maple wood accentuates the light of any room, both brightening the room while simultaneously making it appear more expansive. The yellowish-brown heartwood is accompanied by tones that are sometimes tinged with reddish-brown. Maple hardwood flooring has a fine, uniform texture and is incredibly strong and shock resistant, with particular resistance to abrasion and wear, making a maple floor a beauty that you will be able to enjoy in your home for years to come

Jewett Farms + Co’s Old Growth Cherry planks combine the deep reddish brown of the cherry heartwood with the golden pinkish hues of the sapwood to create a rich and inviting floor. Cherry has long been prized for its fine grain and natural luster, but like so many other American hardwoods it has fallen prey to over harvesting, leading to immature cherry lumber. Our Old Growth Cherry plank flooring has been harvested from standing dead or fallen trees that have reached the ripe old age of 70, trees that were able to grow and develop the rich hues and characteristics of mature cherry. Slow growth cherry features an extremely tight grain pattern and a strong yet pliable reddish wood. Jewett Farms + Co’s Old Growth “Smooth” Cherry wide plank flooring is available to be shipped throughout the United States from our New England headquarters.
