Living room - small modern enclosed light wood floor living room idea with gray walls, no fireplace and a tv stand

This tiny bland box of a bedroom was painted black to enhance the coziness. There isn't a door to the room so the decor had to create a distinct difference from the rest of the apartment. photo: Chris Dorsey

This tiny apartment had so many quirks and random placed cabinets and walls it was a real challenge to create a cohesive look. The toile fabric covered board closes off the open window between the bedroom & living room plus creates a fun place for mementos, art and gifts. photo: Chris Dorsey

The client had grown up in beach locales and wanted a bright tropical kitchen. With minimal kitchen storage provided pair of custom made shelves covered in cheery Mexican oil cloth hold the dishware & serving pieces. An avid tea drinker a small shelf above the stove holds a teapot & mugs. The large painted mirror from the client's previous bedroom covers a large fuse box. photo: Chris Dorsey

the bathroom in this tiny studio apartment was devoid of storage & personality. the landlord painted the bathroom with flat paint. every time water ran there would be splash marks on the wall. the entire back wall and front door were covered with temporary vinyl wallpaper. the client wanted a place the feature her fun punk rock side so a black & white decor with pops of hot pink was implemented and keeps with the rest of the apartment's style. Not shown: a repurposed shelf was installed above the door for towels, toilet paper & additional toiletries. photo: Chris Dorsey

there is absolutely no place to hang a towel rack in this tiny bathroom. the client had these mirrored hooks so i inserted grommets in the corner of each of her hand towels so they can lay flat against the wall to reduce bulk. photo: Chris Dorsey

Tried to keep this wall visually interesting, but a balance to the adjacent gallery wall. Black paint is bested used when walls are smooth & without imperfections - this was a very tight budget project so refinishing the wall wasn't in the budget. fortunately the room is never this bright so the walls just look glamorous. photo: Chris Dorsey

Without a door to the bedroom, the random cutout b/w the living area & bedroom needed to be closed off. A Toile fabric covered board seals the window and becomes a memento board. Shelves were added to a recessed wall to create a bookcase & entertainment center. A round from a previous table fits perfectly on the ottoman which can provide additional seating when entertaining. photo: Chris Dorsey
