A vibrant, blooming garden needs pollinators and beneficial bugs. TerraTrellis sculptural Hanging Bee Bungalow provides a perfect nesting opportunity for solitary Mason Bees "super pollinators" in your garden! It contains hand-cut natural lake bed reeds and drilled-out branches with a variety of openings to make it easy for the bees to find their "home." Expert bee lovers can even harvest unhatched bee larvae from the reeds and store until after frost. A modern/rustic habitat the hippest bees will buzz about!
Our Hanging Bee Bungalow is designed to hang from a tree branch or horizontal support.

After the transformation took place, about 6 months later. The yard was divided into different rooms for different uses. Raised redwood planter boxes were used for veggies and herbs to grow. A vine is being trained to go over the arbor and Callistemon 'Slim' will fill in the "wall" to divide the space. The arbor ushers you into the backyard entertaining area with a sail cloth "ceiling" to block the harsh sun.

I wanted a large, simple trellis to fill a blank, uninteresting wall that forms the main approach to my front door. I chose a plant (Espalier Camellia) that would not grow into the brick and mortar since I have read this can compromise the integrity of the brickwork and is difficult to remove. The challenge was finding a large enough trellis that would also look good. I thought metal would be the best material for the trellis since I knew it would be durable over the years and I worried that a wooden trellis would start to fall apart from moisture and under the weight of the mature plants as they grew. I did not want my trellis to start failing just as my plants were reaching their most beautiful stage! I found some rod iron trellises but, they were all too small and not nearly the height and scale I needed. The Garden Metalwork trellis was perfect since it had a beautiful dark bronze finish and because the metal is aluminum it was also lightweight and very durable. A rod iron trellis (if you could find one) in the size of the Garden Metalwork aluminum trellis would weigh a ton! Now I have a worry-free, beautiful trellis for my plants to climb that will last for years and continue to get more beautiful over time. The wall already looks so much better since the trellis adds dimension with a material that compliments the brickwork. And once the plants form around the trellis it will be a beautiful focal point to my entranceway!

Here's what our clients from this project had to say:
We LOVE coming home to our newly remodeled and beautiful 41 West designed and built home! It was such a pleasure working with BJ Barone and especially Paul Widhalm and the entire 41 West team. Everyone in the organization is incredibly professional and extremely responsive. Personal service and strong attention to the client and details are hallmarks of the 41 West construction experience. Paul was with us every step of the way as was Ed Jordon (Gary David Designs), a 41 West highly recommended designer. When we were looking to build our dream home, we needed a builder who listened and understood how to bring our ideas and dreams to life. They succeeded this with the utmost honesty, integrity and quality!
41 West has exceeded our expectations every step of the way, and we have been overwhelmingly impressed in all aspects of the project. It has been an absolute pleasure working with such devoted, conscientious, professionals with expertise in their specific fields. Paul sets the tone for excellence and this level of dedication carries through the project. We so appreciated their commitment to perfection...So much so that we also hired them for two more remodeling projects.
We love our home and would highly recommend 41 West to anyone considering building or remodeling a home.
