This remodeled oak staircase is the centerpiece of the home and the first thing that guests see when they enter. These stairs lead to a second floor that was extensively remodeled in order to make better use of existing space.

The homeowner wanted the corner shower walls to stand out, so we painted them a dark green colour. The desired contrast against the light cabinets, wall paint, and floor was achieved.

As you enter the front door of the home, you are greeted by this thoroughly modern yet highly elegant dark oak staircase. The square style oak newel posts replaced outdated builder's grade main posts and the wrought iron spindles accentuate the dark stain on the new, custom oak treads.

A corner freestanding tub is the showpiece of this master bathroom renovation. The faux-teak feature walls (behind) were another finish selected by the homeowner.

Picture taken prior to glass install. We installed the shower temperature control on the knee wall so that the homeowner could warm up the water easily by simply reaching into the shower.

The newly installed dark oak hardwood (prefinished) is an excellent match for the dark kona stain that was used on the newel posts, handrails, and treads/risers. The newly installed hardwood is a welcome upgrade over old carpet, and extends into the office to the right (not shown).

A new tiled shower was built as a part of this bathroom renovation. 2 niches, hexagon tiled floor, and 24x24 polished porcelain wall and ceiling tile were selected. Dark grey quartz jambs outline the door and front face of the curb.

Less is more - This simple pattern (plain, single knuckle, double knuckle) is visually appealing and strikingly modern.
