Tired of working from their tiny apartment during the beginning of the pandemic, we helped these clients bring new life to this adorable split-level home, by focusing on efficiency with a touch of glamour. The existing house from 1952 had great bones, and some fun features, such as a nice layout and corner windows, but was feeling worn and dated, and needed some attention. We were tasked with a quick-turnaround project, celebrating the home’s midcentury past, while making the spaces feel cohesive and fun. We were also asked to create more visual connections between spaces. We designed new walnut cabinetry to surround the existing fireplace, re-worked the home’s entry, replaced the cabinetry in the kitchen, added a bar in the dining room, and enhanced the storage opportunities in the upstairs bedrooms and throughout the house. We continued a clean and modern materials palette throughout. These include warm white walls, refinished dark wood floors, walnut and painted cabinets, and luxe brass fixtures; all the finishes tie together and made the spaces feel more connected and full of whimsy. This is our newest addition to our industrial retail fixtures. This modern shelving unit is adorned in riveted rounded elements that give it that vintage turn of the century look. This piece was built with four total shelves made of solid, heavy gauge steel, but can be made with two, three or any number you would like. The shelves could be made with any of our beautiful reclaimed woods you see on any of our other pieces, or new wood stained any color you prefer. The durable shelving has been evenly spaced (approximately 17″ apart) but can be built with any spacing needed for what may be stored on the shelves. The frame has been painted black but can be left raw or painted any color. The overall dimensions of this retail display are 48” W x 24” D x 62.5” H, but it can be made any size you would like to accommodate the size of your shop or home. This custom frameless corner shower enclosure was completed in New Braunfels, TX and features 3/8" clear tempered glass with matte black hardware. The design includes a hinged door with two fixed panels, creating a spacious, open feel while showcasing the beautiful tile work. Every enclosure is custom measured and fabricated for a precise fit, smooth operation, and lasting durability. This all white brick and siding exterior home with a 2-car garage was built in Flowery Branch, GA in 2021. Its exterior includes a slate tile flooring front porch and awnings over the front first story windows. Additionally, the exterior displays a wide (5 window) dormer which provides for some of the second lighting, a turnaround drive and a fully sodded and landscaped yard. The kitchen is equipped with custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a large island with sink, hardwood flooring, and herringbone tiled backsplash. The kitchen flows into the eating area and family room for an open concept layout. The family room features a modern fireplace flanked with built-in shelving and cabinetry. An extensive, fully equipped laundry room is accessible from the kitchen and garage areas. Hardwood floors are installed throughout the first floor. The master bedroom was designed with a tray ceiling, recessed can lighting and an array of window sizes for creative natural lighting.
