Located at the Toll Brothers Model Homes the Enclave at Yorba Linda. Toll Brothers envisioned a raised overflow pool with glass walls, allowing guests to see underwater from the outside. Extensive care was taken during the difficult design and build process to ensure that excellence was achieved and Toll Brothers was completely enamored with the results. This pool features a very modern look with straight, clean lines, square columns and LED lights accenting the acrylic pool walls. The bar area touts an acrylic wall and in-pool bar stools, while the tile inside the pool matches the house, bringing continuity to the entire space. An extreme amount of coordination was required for the 2.5 inch thick pieces of acrylic to fit perfectly within the slots on the columns while still maintaining the structural integrity of the pool. We were in continual communication with the structural engineer and acrylic manufacturer, ensuring that each piece fit perfectly. The completed acrylic walls were then craned over the house due to their weight. With a vanishing edge on the front three sections and a negative edge along the back, it was absolutely imperative that the pool was perfectly level and that the water filtration system operated perfectly so that the flow was even over each wall. The water cascading over the front walls collects in a trough that ties into to the rear negative edge basin, where it recirculates back into the pool. The rear negative edge was designed so as not to distract from the breathtaking view of the valley below, while the lounging deck overhangs the pool with a freestanding cover ensuring that the view is completely unobstructed. An elegant piece of artwork frames the back of the pool, completing the look for this intriguing swimming pool.

This carefully crafted spa/pool area features several layers of patio that provide the opportunity for soft accent lighting. It provides enough space for several seating areas, a fire pit and a pool. The spa pool features underwater lighting which creates a beautiful sight at night.

The infinity swimming pool in the rear combines an underwater pool windows and channels around the sunken seating : the source of the overflow steps towards the sunken seating. Steps are made from Italian porcelain. The water level is only at -7 cm of the board.

To hide the pool equipment, Betz built a ledgerock feature wall with a 6’ sheer descent waterfall. It can be set at full strength or to a ‘wet wall’ trickle of water. Each end has a ledge with a dramatic gas fire torch. The pool features custom vinyl over steel walk-in steps, plus an underwater bench, complete with spa jets.

This suburban family wanted to turn their small backyard into an oasis for casual evening entertaining. They assumed their budget would only allow for a large hot tub or small fibreglass pool. Thankfully, the designers at Betz came up with an innovative and affordable solution based on a custom spa/pool. (15 x 18 custom rectangular)

This compact Master Bathroom features many space saving ideas to create a spacious underwater theme. Shelves are made from recycle wood and can be purchased from Kevin Anderson, SilicateStudio on Etsy. Space saving features include: Cut away shelves, wall mounted vanity, wall mounted toilet and barn door entry. Ann Sack tile in matte accented with glossy mosaic to give the shower an underwater waterfall feel. Large Ann Sack "sand" themed floor tile help enlarge the room. Duel shower heads and trench drain add to the extra's as well as a hair dryer holder and unique three in one wall hooks. This new home, like some in mid-town Toronto, occupies a half-width lot of 25’. The long narrow home had a tiny backyard, with only 32’ from the house to the property line. The owners were hoping to have a pool, so they asked Betz how they could get maximum enjoyment from the minimal space available.
