Your kitchen is the heart of your home, but if it's outdated and in desperate need of a makeover, it can be difficult to enjoy spending time in it. Fortunately, a kitchen reface update can completely transform your space and give it a fresh, modern look without the need for a full remodel. And if you're looking for a timeless and elegant design, a white shaker reface may be just what you need.
Why Choose a White Shaker Reface?
The white shaker style is a classic design that has been popular for decades. It features clean, simple lines and a versatile color that can be easily paired with a wide range of decor styles. White shaker cabinets are also a great choice for those who want a bright and airy kitchen, as the light color reflects natural light and makes the space feel larger.
When it comes to a reface update, choosing a white shaker design can help to modernize your kitchen and make it feel more up-to-date. Whether your existing cabinets are dark and dated, or simply in need of a refresh, a white shaker reface can give them a fresh new look that will stand the test of time.
The Refacing Process
One of the benefits of a reface update is that it is a much quicker and less invasive process than a full remodel. Instead of tearing out your existing cabinets and starting from scratch, a reface involves removing the doors and drawers and replacing them with new ones that are custom-made to fit your existing cabinets.
In the case of a white shaker reface, your new doors and drawers will feature the classic shaker style, with clean lines and a fresh white finish. You may also choose to update other elements of your kitchen, such as the hardware or countertops, to complete the look.

I was so happy to help these long time clients with their Simpsonville Update. They did some major renovation – like opening up the Family Room to the Kitchen and to the Dining Room as well as reconfiguring their Basement. For the finishes, we touched every surface from floors (refinished existing floors to a medium brown tone) to walls (updated paint colors) to ceilings (new lighting fixtures).
This round table with self-storing extensions was perfect for the shape of the Dining Room and their large extended family. The tufted upholstered chairs in the green/gray fabric add warmth to the space. The large round rug ties in all the colors from the existing rooms.
The chandelier is an updated interpretation of a classic drum shade – love the bling! I like the simplicity of the centerpiece as well – it does not compete with the chandelier.
As I mentioned the homeowners opened up these two spaces and added these striking barn doors with glass panels – just in case the two spaces needed separation. The chandelier is also an update on the classic orb design. Love the shape!
This coffee table with linen painted finish and appliqué detail is the perfect scale for the space.
This traditional rug helps define the seating area in this large space, but also does what all rugs should do…ties all the colors together! These spaces now feel updated, but still very warm and inviting – just like our homeowners! Enjoy!

Our clients, a lovely couple with two kids, asked us to renovate their dated Kitchen. Although they were happy with its existing layout, the cupboards were worn out, and did not provide optimal storage.
Through detailed investigation and design, we created an updated space, tailored to their needs. New custom-built cabinets with modern contemporary finishes not only provided optimal storage solutions, but a fresh, update to the Kitchen. Re-grouting the floor tiles throughout the Kitchen and Main Floor made the floors look like new again. Updated lighting and paint with soft undertones provide a warm, welcoming feeling.
Overall, the personalized details and updates increased both the functionality and comfort for our clients, creating a home that is unmistakably theirs.

This kitchen had a good footprint but was 20 years old. The oak cabinets were dated. The client was ready for updated function & conveniences. We replaced the standard stove with microwave with a built-in combination. This area was enhanced with upper display cabinets. A cooktop was added to the peninsula and the refrigerator zone was updated with a more function deep upper cabinet & beverage fridge. An angled cabinet was added to add symmetry as well as glass doors. We selected a classic shade blue for the paint color to make the kitchen pop in the open floor plan. The florescent light box was updated, LED lights were added to create ambient & task lighting options. The cabinets were updated with soft-close hinges and roll-out shelves. The finishing elements were updated wall paint and stunning quartzite counter tops!
