Upon acquiring the property, the homeowner faced a compact backyard dominated by a neglected lawn that offered little usability. The ambition was not only to enhance the outdoor space's utility but to inject it with vibrant aesthetics and dynamism through the hardscape. To bring this vision to life, we embraced a palette of colorful materials, choosing multicolored concrete, pavers, and tiles that introduce a playful yet sophisticated charm. Further creativity was applied in the design through the use of curvy lines that flow organically throughout the space, leading the eye and inviting movement. Beach rocks were thoughtfully embedded into decorative bands, adding a tactile and visual texture that complements the curvilinear approach. This strategic combination of color, texture, and form transformed the backyard into a visually stimulating and highly functional outdoor living area.

In a successful small kitchen, every element must pull its weight. We installed new cabinets from floor to ceiling, fitting a combination of shelves, deep drawers and custom pullouts, making every cabinet usable. Stealing the show is tile above the cooktop, it provides a visual drawing card with its textural beauty and a creative layout. Convenient can lighting, modern stainless-steel appliances and a new glass laundry door bring in lots of natural light for this stunning petite kitchen.

Renovating the worn master bath of this 1950’s contemporary ranch was a challenge, but the Renovisions team took the task in stride. The biggest design challenge was enlarging the bathroom while also creating a usable and functional sitting area adjacent to their master bedroom. A few of the design highlights included; the pocket door which created an unencumbered space in the bath, a larger sized shower with no door and a lineal drain with curbless shower entry, larger format porcelain tiles, a shower niche, heated floors with a programmable thermostat, and a one piece concealed trap skirted toilet. Clipping the corner wall upon entering the sitting room softened the shape of the room and ensured comfortable walking space through the hallway into the master bedroom. The homeowners particularly love the customizations of the stylish designed vanity which included ample space to store bath supplies in the full extension drawers and a bottom shelf for towels. The custom Benjamin Moore dark blue/grey colored cabinetry and framed mirror looks stunning with the Silestone’s ‘Pulsar’ quartz countertop and shelf pieces. They also loved the gray-blue muted marble tones of the 12”x24” shower wall field tile and chose a bright mosaic-look tile for the rear wall of the shower niche. Replacing the older windows provided more natural light into both the bathroom and sitting room spaces. With spa-worthy, on-trend, creative uses of space, this ‘Renovision’ was enjoyed and appreciated by these homeowners!

This remodel project in Kirkland involved a new chef’s kitchen, updated family room and fully transformed bathrooms. The once dark and dated kitchen was completely reimagined by brightening the space, reconfiguring the island to create a larger and more usable cooking area and maximizing the storage throughout by adding custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry. The transformed bathrooms find the perfect balance of design harmony and practicality through creative layout enhancements coupled with a charming modern farmhouse vibe.

This mid-century home presented the classic challenge of transforming a barely usable basement into functional family space. Working closely with clients who had a clear vision for their growing family’s needs, we embraced the existing structural elements, painting and exposing the original beams to preserve ceiling height while adding visual interest. The renovation created a playroom/family room, additional bedroom and full bathroom. Creative solutions include a hidden office nook with retractable doors tucked within a closet, and a custom stained slat stair wall that adds warmth and privacy. The result is a seamless extension of the home’s mid-century character while delivering the functionality this growing family needed.

Cramped space, narrow doorways, and dated cabinets – that is what the Trupe's had. The time was right to set a transformation in motion. The first step was to call Amos from ALL Renovation & Design. They had been friends for the past 20 years, thanks to a deck he had built for them. And Amos immediately caught their vision for the kitchen. More space. An island for entertainment. And a striking look. The Trupe's dream kitchen wasn't going to be without challenges. The door leading to the outside had to go. But how to match the 20-year-old siding? The narrow doorway between the kitchen and the dining room had to go too. But what to do with the wires in the wall? And though getting rid of the outside door and the doorway gave more room, how would an island, big enough to be useful, fit? Space. That was the challenge. Countless design concepts. Countless ideas to work through. From the beginning, Amos committed to the extra mile. Once the island size and cabinet placement were decided, Amos’s team began work in earnest. The custom-built oak cabinets with an espresso stain finish were the starting place for the project. All other colors and materials were chosen to compliment the cabinetry. Like the Daltile glazed porcelain tile floor in the Saddle Brook style and the Farmhouse color. The backsplash proved to be a challenge. Have you ever settled on the absolutely perfect option only to find that it is forever discontinued by the manufacturer? That's what happened. Thankfully the Trupe's second choice of Anatolia Bliss Fusion Ice mosaic blended beautifully with the granite countertop. Amazingly, the team was able to match the 20-year-old siding perfectly. The corner cabinet took creativity as well. Cutting the corner (literally) did the trick. By adding a corner cabinet and cutting the corner of the island countertop, the Trupe's are delighted to have a usable walkway around the island. “It sounds trivial,” Mr. Trupe remembers, but, instead of going with a plain side to the wood-work around the fridge, the ALL R&D team suggested matching the detail of the cabinet paneling: “I love it.” Trivial? Not at all. That is part of making your dreams even better in reality.

The clients also needed the kitchen to work hard for their lifestyle, with a commercial-size refrigerator and freezer, generous prep space, and room to gather. The challenge was to bring purpose and polish to a space that didn’t quite feel like it belonged. The result is a kitchen that’s not only highly functional but finally feels like part of the home. Project challenges: - Maximizing storage was a primary challenge, especially with the inclusion of a commercial-sized fridge and freezer that occupied valuable cabinetry space. - The need for clean, uninterrupted lines throughout the kitchen required thoughtful detailing, especially around cabinetry transitions and appliance integration. - The oversized island design required two stone slabs and waterfall edges on both sides which posed both visual and logistical challenges. - Incorporating electrical outlets into the island in a way that felt intentional and unobtrusive demanded creative problem-solving. - The unique rooflines created strong visual angles that required a considered design approach to ensure the space felt cohesive rather than disjointed. - Balancing symmetry and flow in a kitchen with structural constraints required precise layout planning to maintain a cohesive visual rhythm. - Creating an intentional indoor/outdoor living flow, especially in the transitional space between the sliding doors to the backyard and the kitchen. Project solutions: - To balance the visual weight of the commercial-grade fridge and freezer, we flanked the range and hood with full-height pocket cabinetry, which created symmetry while reclaiming storage space. We also took a look into internal organization and carefully mapped out where every kitchen item would live. This allowed us to make informed decisions about drawer versus door configurations, and when to incorporate features like roll-out shelving to maximize accessibility and function. - Linear light fixtures above the island were chosen for their low visual impact, allowing sightlines to remain clear and emphasizing the thoughtful spatial layout. - The oversized island was carefully executed using two coordinated slabs, with a subtle brass inlay detail between them to turn a logistical challenge into a design feature. - Pop-up electrical outlets were integrated into the island to keep surfaces clutter-free while maintaining easy access, which combined form and function seamlessly. - With multiple focal points and a peaked vaulted ceiling, layout precision was key. The island, hood, and adjacent staircase were all perfectly centered on the vault, creating a sense of alignment across the open space. - In the transitional area between kitchen and backyard, we added a wet bar that visually and functionally connects the indoor space with the outdoors. This addition provides extra storage and creates a dedicated entertainment spot for guests, enhancing the overall flow and usability of the home.

The kitchen also features a new wine fridge, seamlessly incorporated into the reverse angle wall. We transformed blocked-off areas into custom wine cubbies, adding a touch of elegance and functionality. The kitchen now includes various rollouts and pull-outs, as well as a larger pantry, enhancing the overall storage and usability. The team did an outstanding job on this kitchen remodel.
