Installation of Castle Combe Gloucester engineered floor in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The subfloor was sanded in preparation for the installation of the wood. The Castle Combe Gloucester Engineered Wood Floors were installed thereafter, and a refresher was applied on top to help keep the floors in their highest state of quality.

This bedroom and full bathroom are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together.
This fabric wall art was the piece that brought the whole room together. We searched through many options at a fabric store before we found the two pieces that we layered to create this custom piece.

Working within a set of constraints, whether of space or budget, challenges my creativity and leads to a beautiful end result. The old kitchen used the space very poorly. The intent was just to replace the countertop. But once we investigated, the inferior cabinets needed replacing, too, so a rethink of space usage created a small and stylish kitchen of lasting quality.
