These clients debated moving from their dated 1979 house but decided to remodel since they loved their neighborhood and location of their home. We did a whole house interior and exterior remodel for them and they are so happy with their decision. The homeowners felt that reading floorplans was not so easy, so they loved our ability to provide 3D renderings and our personal touches and suggestions from our in-house designers.
The general layout of the home stayed the same with a few minor changes. We took the 38 year old home down to the studs and transformed it completely. The only thing that remains unchanged is the address. The popcorn texture was removed from the ceiling, removed all soffits, replaced all cabinets, flooring and countertops throughout the home. The wet bar was removed from the living room opening the space. The kitchen layout remained the same, but the cook surface was moved. Unneeded space was removed from the laundry room, giving them a larger pantry.
The master suite remained the same but additional lighting was added for reading. We made major improvements in the master bath by adding a rain shower, more storage and a bench to their new shower and gave them a larger bathtub.
All new cedar siding was replaced on the exterior of the home and a fresh coat of paint makes this 1979 home look brand new!

The client's master suite was dark with outdated wallpaper. They wanted the vanity with the floating mirrors to remain the focal point of the bathroom, so for the most part, the layout stayed the same. We went in, removed all finishes and started over; keeping with the style of the house. Grand Mirrors with integrated lighting were installed over the center vanities. The only change in the layout was that the bath tub was removed and replaced shower. The shower was lined with solid white marble tiles and accented with a cool Valentino parquet marble. The old shower became a linen storage closet and cabinets for additional storage. The lower cabinets are a deep espresso finish with contrasting linen finished cabinets up top. The door to the water closet was replaced with a pocket door, creating more space.
The guest bathroom felt claustrophobic with the wall between the vanity and toilet/shower area. We removed the wall and used a pony wall at the end of the vanity instead to hide the toilet. Being a guest bath there was no need double sinks, so one was removed, increasing the cabinet space. The crown molding stayed but the popcorn ceiling texture was removed in both bathrooms. The clients love their new sleek, brighter bathrooms.

The bathroom was completely transformed! We demoed the flooring, cabinets, sheetrock, countertops and soffits, as well as structural walls. There were two doors into the bathroom from the master bedroom that were both removed and one new one installed. New walls were framed out for the closet, tub, shower and toilet room. The sink was moved from its original location and located on the adjacent wall. Two small closets were also removed to increase the square footage of this bathroom. Pocket doors were added to the water closet, as well as the closet. The seated vanity was a must, so that was added into the new layout.
The original tub that the homeowners felt was too large was replaced with a freestanding soaker tub. The once dark corner shower was replaced with a new low curb entry shower surrounded with frameless glass and brushed nickel hardware. The shower floor tile is 1"x4" Eleganza loft Grigio, surrounded by 4"x16" Subway tile in a glossy cotton. A nice mosaic Frozen blend glass Allegro accent tile helps breaks up the white of this new bright bathroom. The homeowners are so pleased with their new bathroom. Our clients purchased a 1963 home that had never been updated! They wanted to redesign the central living area, which included the kitchen, formal dining and living room/den. Their original kitchen was small and completely closed off from the rest of the house. They wanted to repurpose the formal living room into the new formal dining room and open up the kitchen to the den and add a large island with seating for casual dining. The original den was now a nice living room, open to the kitchen, but also with a great view to their new pool! They wanted to keep some walls for their fun New Orleans one-of-a-kind artwork. They also did not want to be able to see the kitchen from the entryway. They also wanted a bar area built in somewhere, they just weren’t sure where. Our designers did an amazing job on this project, figuring out where to cut walls, where to keep them, replaced windows with doors, bringing the outdoors in and really brightening up the entire space.

This kitchen went from white washed oak with wallpaper to cherry modern and sophisticated. We took out the 2 islands and created one center island with counter seating areas. We replaced all of the cabinets with Waypoint cabinets in a rich cherry finish and topped them with Cambria Ella counter tops. The eye catching iridescent mosaic tile back splash finishes off the transitional look. We tied the open kitchen and living area together with the living room built-ins and a new fireplace surround. The area got new oak hardwood floors in a grey stain. We love how this kitchen and living room came to life with a total makeover!
