What started solely as a master bath project soon spiraled into working with the homeowners to redefine and remodel most of this split level home. Opening things up in the kitchen not only helped with the flow of things, but you get a wonderful view of each room when you walk in the front door. Showcased here are beautiful real-wood overhead garage doors with recessed paneling, cross-buck overlays and windows, which accent the rest of the home's rustic exterior. Inside, these doors are equipped with a vertical-lift operating system that allows the doors to be 'lifted' to the top of the ceiling, providing maximum space below. We partially removed the wall between the living room and the staircase creating a half a wall that opens up the overall feeling of the space. We also widened the staircase. The painted front door makes a bold statement and creates a nice contrast with the walls. Treads and banisters are stained with a mixture of the DuraSeal® Coffee brown and the Spice brown.
