This breathtaking project by transFORM is just part of a larger renovation led by Becky Shea Design that transformed the maisonette of a historical building into a home as stylish and elegant as its owners. Attention to detail was key in the configuration of the master closets and dressing rooms. The women’s master closet greatly elevated the aesthetic of the space with the inclusion of posh items like ostrich drawer faces, jewelry-like hardware, a dedicated shoe section, and glass doors. The boutique-inspired LED lighting system notably added a luxe look that’s both polished and functional. One of two master bedrooms, this spacious, light-filled suite is accented with rustic ledgestone walls. Pocketing doors and clerestory windows allow the enjoyment of distant views. The room is outfitted with a set of metal and leather accent chairs from Charleston Forge and a custom vinyl-upholstered bed. We love to collaborate, whenever and wherever the opportunity arises. For this mountainside retreat, we entered at a unique point in the process—to collaborate on the interior architecture—lending our expertise in fine finishes and fixtures to complete the spaces, thereby creating the perfect backdrop for the family of furniture makers to fill in each vignette. Catering to a design-industry client meant we sourced with singularity and sophistication in mind, from matchless slabs of marble for the kitchen and master bath to timeless basin sinks that feel right at home on the frontier and custom lighting with both industrial and artistic influences. We let each detail speak for itself in situ.

The front room is used primarily as a sitting room/reading room by our clients. Four upholstered chairs in a teal blue velvet surround a wood and iron table. A window seat is covered in a navy blue faux linen, with pillows of varying hues of blue. This is a perfect spot for morning coffee and reading the paper!
