The two sided fireplace is above the bathtub in the bathroom and at the foot of the bed in the bedroom. The wall is tiled on both sides and the archway into the bathroom is tiled also. A traditional looking faucet with a hand sprayer was added. The drop in tub is classic white and the tub deck is tiled.

Beneath the porch overhang are groin vaults with hand painted designs.

Large island style backyard custom-shaped infinity pool photo in Miami

View into kitchen after removing wall (header visible above) separating old kitchen from views. Pantry and powder though doorway to left. I prefer the island to resember a "table" with legs at the corners (prevents kids from bumping heads) downdraft hood eliminates exposed hood dropping from ceiling and blocking views.

The edge of the pool on the ravine side is topped with a three-inch tempered glass wall providing a visible zero edge. The area below the wall drops off steeply, so the side wall of the pool acts as a retaining wall. Extensive special engineering permits and tree permits were required to conform to the stringent ravine lot restrictions.

Rosenberg Kolb Architects is proud to announce our renovation of a 1747 timber frame house on Nantucket Island, completed in 2011. The first historic renovation project in Nantucket to receive LEED Gold status. The project was given a Grand Award by Eco Home Magazine in July, 2011.
The project included:
Restructuring the foundations to align and stabilize the structure in addition to providing for a new insulated crawl space;
A 260 square foot addition for a kitchen, bath, and new entry;
New cedar shingles, roof shingles, and restored historic windows;
The house met the strict regulations of Nantucket's Historic District.
On the inside, LEED Gold certification was met through:
High R-value insulation and reduced air leakage;
High efficiency heating, air conditioning, plumbing fixtures, and appliances;
Low-emission paints and finishes as well as a clay wall finish;
Using reclaimed materials from the original house and other sites.
