Sheldon and Leonard’s living room is one of the most memorable spaces in the show. It’s the location where the sitcom’s protagonists hung out the most – eating Chinese takeout, playing video games, celebrating Nobel Prize wins, or just watching TV.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This fun classic kitchen in Gold River features Columbia frameless cabinets in Sandy Hook grey. A green glass backsplash in a random matte and polished pattern complements the cabinets which are faced with both painted wood and frosted glass. The Silestone countertops in the Lyra finish have an ogee bullnose edge. The floors are finished in a rich brown porcelain tile of varying sizes that are made to resemble distressed wood. Clematis armandii 'Evergreen Clematis' (foreground) arches over a custom-built cedar arbor, modeled to accentuate the home's Craftsman-style architecture. Welded mild-steel panel fills create a scaffold for Akebia quinata 'Five-leaf Akebia Vine' (background), lending seasonal privacy and afternoon shade along this narrow sideyard access walkway.

This bedroom and full bathroom are part of an adventuresome project my wife and I embarked upon to create a complete apartment in the basement of our townhouse. We designed a floor plan that creatively and efficiently used all of the 385-square-foot-space, without sacrificing beauty, comfort or function – and all without breaking the bank! To maximize our budget, we did the work ourselves and added everything from thrift store finds to DIY wall art to bring it all together. A partial double closet bar adds a little extra space while still leaving room for longer hanging clothes.

This stained glass window was created as part of our signature Aspen Stained Glass line. These windows look beautiful in cottage style or contemporary homes and are a great way for outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate their love of nature. The textured appearance of the glass provides the homeowners with a high level of privacy and comfort.

This modern bathroom wall is a very dark grey tile made from recycled stone dust. Its color is PB 3106 Dark Grey and is in the brushed texture.

For the Master sitting room, two custom French club chairs and ottoman were designed and then upholstered in an antique velvet to compliment the custom bedding and drapery.
