A couple of months ago, we installed a cupola and weather vane to add more character to this building. It’s still so cool seeing a device as simple as a weather vane show you the direction of the wind.

A couple of months ago, we installed a cupola and weather vane to add more character to this building. It’s still so cool seeing a device as simple as a weather vane show you the direction of the wind.

The solid brass or bronze hardware is weathered, antiqued by hand and minimally highlighted on a buffing wheel. This is followed by a coat of protective flat lacquer. The Weathered Bronze finish is a distressed variation of the popular Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Cleaning with mild soap and water then buffing the surface dry with a soft cloth is recommended. Applying a coat of Decorative Hardware Wax will protect the finish.
