Builder: Weeks & Mitchell Remodeling Inspired by the timeless beauty of traditional craftsmanship, Lead & Laurel was designed to feel both rooted in history and tailored for modern living. The focal point of the space is a custom leaded-glass window, casting soft natural light across warm stone surfaces and creating a sense of quiet elegance throughout the room. Rich wood cabinetry introduces depth and character, while earthy tile selections and clean architectural lines provide a balanced foundation. A sculptural soaking tub positioned beneath the handcrafted window invites moments of pause, while the adjoining shower seamlessly blends functionality with refined detailing. Matte black fixtures add contrast and definition, offering a contemporary layer to an otherwise classic palette. The result is a bathroom that feels collected, enduring, and deeply personal—a retreat where old-world inspiration and modern comfort coexist in perfect harmony.

When our client first reached out, they wanted a dining table that was truly one-of-a-kind—something that would feel both natural and timeless. From the very beginning, we knew this project would be special. We carefully selected the perfect black walnut slab, adjusting and refining it multiple times to capture the ideal grain and character. During production, we collaborated closely with the client at every step, discussing wood choices, resin flow, and finishes. The creamy white translucent resin was poured with precision to highlight the wood’s natural beauty while keeping the table feeling organic and rustic. After weeks of meticulous work and constant communication, the result is a table that embodies warmth, craftsmanship, and personality. It’s not just a piece of furniture—it’s a story, a collaboration, and a centerpiece ready to inspire countless meals and memories.

Our journey continues from last week where we began in the spa-like bathroom, around the curved wood slat wall, past the ample closet storage section to a showstopper of a space: a glass enclosed wine room. The sophisticated space elegantly displays a fine wine and whiskey collection on grooved, backlit floating shelves. These shelves provide both functionality and an upscale aesthetic, perfectly aligned with the room’s Mid-Century Modern design influence. The sleek black floor tiles echo those in the nearby bathroom, creating a sense of flow and visual contrast within the overall space. Natural wood slats from the shower and sauna areas continue into the wine room, adding warmth and texture to the modern, sleek lines. The glass enclosures complement similar features in the bathroom, maintaining a cohesive design language throughout the basement. The use of natural materials, clean lines, and thoughtful lighting makes this wine room not only a visual highlight but also a practical space for storage and display. With its refined aesthetic, this wine room is designed with luxury and practicality in mind, and is more than a storage solution—it’s a statement. Our homeowners are so pleased we could create a high-end, timeless space for them to enjoy for many years to come. Next week we will focus on the family entertainment area of the basement remodel. Keep following for more inspiration!
