Lovely backyard retreat included a swimming pool and landscape makeover. Here is an example of one of my refacing projects. We used Showplace Wood Products- Renew program! The old existing cabinet were Red Oak wood in the standard Honey Wheat color. The client 's want Cherry cabinets to match their Cherry wood furniture in the dining and living room areas. So we chose Showplace's Pendleton (Shaker) Door Style, in Cherry wood with Sienna stain. This is another option instead of going with new cabinets that can often help save you money, time and it gives you the option of keeping your existing counters and back splash. We always have the option of adding any new cabinetry that we need to make the space more functional.

The clients wanted a serene, hotel-like retreat. We started by replacing the carpeting with wide-plank dark hardwoods and painting the wall Sherwin Williams City Loft. We wallpapered the large accent wall along with the workspace niche with the soft geometric paper. The bedsides are flanked with gold-framed mirrors and acrylic lamps on top of Wayfair dressers customized with acrylic drawer pulls. The abstract rug tones down the formality of the wall. The window treatments were kept minimal with wheat-colored black-out shade from The Shade Store.

This cozy sun room is host to an eclectic mix. Dried fern botanicals matted in cream with simple frames adorn the ivory walls. Woven wood blinds add texture and warmth. Below the framed art are two chairs covered in a tan and aqua blue striped fabric with watery blue velvet as welt. A Visual Comfort floor lamp and aqua blue garden seat sit between the two chairs. Next to the antique ebony stained chest is a wicker sofa whose wheat colored chenille cushions and graphic floral pillows offer a soft touch. Sitting atop a sisal rug is a tufted ottoman covered in a cheetah patterned velvet with dark walnut legs.

This family room was monotone prior to our work together. We added some youthful, bold teal and blue to enliven this space. The grasscloth wrapped coffee table anchors the space with a warm wheat color. The Art TV by Samsung offers the client numerous choices to display varying artists. Gibeon Photography
