This office space is a temporary solution as the Mohrmans are planning an addition onto the back of the house. Accessed through the downstairs bedroom, the new studio will house everything needed for Chelsea's small business (blogging and home decor consultation). Until the project is finished, however, this bookcase and desk combination provide extra space for project planning and research. Gym locker bins are used to house various objects, and along with labelled magazine files help to maintain a streamlined appearance. The original bathroom was long and only about 3-feet wide with an entry in the middle of the room. In fact, the bath was so narrow, users had to leave the door open to use the sink! We closed a second opening to the hall to be able to widen the bathroom. This allowed us to place a large deeper closet in the corner. A lovely yard that started as a long bowling alley of lawn. We wanted to create a more human scale in the lounge area without building too many visual barriers. The overall effect is contemporary, but it is met with hints of woodland to help maintain a relaxed atmosphere.

This previously unused attic space is now a sauna/yoga room. The left sauna wall follows the attic rafters down diagonally to allow a wider space for leg room on the twin sauna benches.
