These guys wanted RUSTIC. so thats what we gave them. We didnt grade anything out of the Elm floor made from barn beams. You can see the holes we patched. we pillowed the edges, wire brushed the floor heavily, french bleed treatment(black stain) then sanded to top surface off. We finished using a custom Loba Oil colour.

DHD Crosby Street Loft in SOHO, NYC The Crosby Street Loft building is located on a cobblestone block in the Soho Cast Iron Historic District. Built in 1882, it was formerly a department store, and converted in 2001 to a 10-unit loft condominium. Our renovation of a second floor loft retains and celebrates many of the original details, including generous, open spaces, 14 foot plus ceiling heights, Corinthian-style columns, and a continuous 120 foot exposed brick wall with integrated archways. The design was a collaborative process, integrating elements discovered on the client’s world travels. Our Hard Maple Select and Better Grade (1st Grade) will have a mostly white appearance almost completely free of any knots or mineral streaks. The Maple unfinished solid hardwood flooring is milled by MFMA (Maple Flooring Manufactures Association) Standards allowing for very small board to board variation in color. The flooring will have a four-sided tongue and groove for ease of installation.
