Mori designs originate from Turkmenistan and other Caucasian locals and are characterized by repeating rows of geometric motifs know as guls. The high lustre wash provides a richness and sheen. I am a huge fan of upholstering. It is not a cheap part of decorating but it creates one of the largest impacts on a space...that and lighting! If chairs are floating in the conversation area then why not use a coordinating fabric on the back? I used black silk velvet on the fronts and a fun black and white cheetah channel on the backs. Atop a red vintage Turkish area rug they are perfect focal points in the conversation area.
