This retaining wall project in inspired by our Travertina Raw stone. The Travertina Raw collection has been extended to a double-sided, segmental retaining wall system. This product mimics the texture of natural travertine in a concrete material for wall blocks. Build outdoor raised planters, outdoor kitchens, seating benches and more with this wall block. Bailey Construction & Landscape Group, Inc. This is a lakeside landscape design. This landscape plan included A paver patio, block retaining wall, landscape lighting, new sod, flagstone walkway, grading, mulch, and new plantings. We also relandscaped the front yard.

A creative design to deal with a sloped front yard. The curving terraced walls are graceful and provide easy to reach planting spaces. The front steps and porch were covered with mortared flagstone; 70% MD blend, 30% Catawba blend stone

Lush green front yard with unique black and white retaining wall at our Sherman Oaks home remodel. This modern look simultaneously grants both privacy and curb appeal. A cement path leads from the gate to the small front craftsman's porch at the home's entry.

Intimate Spaces turns unusable area into functional and beautiful spaces. Over 380 landscape timbers were used on this project. Retaining walls don't have to be ugly!

During excavation for this new modern home, large granite boulders rose to the surface from the primordial hillside. Instead of displacing these monoliths from the site from which they were created, they were arranged to define space. A circle of boulders stand guard around a custom built fire pit, providing protection from the wind while offering a place to climb or sit. The extended landscape view from the lawn is kept intact by the introduction of a ha-ha, a traditional landscape feature, that hides the productive garden and keeps it from breaking the view. Native and drought tolerant plantings hug the outer edges of the property for minimal use of irrigation and to visually blend into the surrounding hillside. This project also features a custom ipe bench with integrated lighting, waterjet address numbers with night lighting, and hardscape that complements the form and materiality of the architecture to create a harmonious transition into the horizontal plane. The first goal for this client in Chatham was to give them a front walk and entrance that was beautiful and grande. We decided to use natural blue bluestone tiles of random sizes. We integrated a custom cut 6" x 9" bluestone border and ran it continuous throughout. Our second goal was to give them walking access from their driveway to their front door. Because their driveway was considerably lower than the front of their home, we needed to cut in a set of steps through their driveway retaining wall, include a number of turns and bridge the walkways with multiple landings. While doing this, we wanted to keep continuity within the building products of choice. We used real stone veneer to side all walls and stair risers to match what was already on the house. We used 2" thick bluestone caps for all stair treads and retaining wall caps. We installed the matching real stone veneer to the face and sides of the retaining wall. All of the bluestone caps were custom cut to seamlessly round all turns. We are very proud of this finished product. We are also very proud to have had the opportunity to work for this family.
