The designer was going for a soft, comfortable, but elegant coastal home look ... and she got it just right in this master bathroom. The free standing tub is framed by the striking split face stack stone travertine wall - absolutely gorgeous. Behind the stacked wall is a walk-in shower with lots of room and sunlight. The sun coming in actually warms the floor. We have Ivory travertine floors for the bathroom and shower walls and a 4 x 4 travertine for the shower floor. The bathroom vanity tops are a polished seashell limestone, a natural seashell limestone, made with Shell Reef. The same limestone is on the bench tops. What a great job of pulling all these details together.

Chiseled Travertine Countertop. This bathroom vanity features an Ivory Travertine countertop with a unique chiseled edge. Executed on-site using granite sheers, we chiseled, or in this case ‘chomped’, the outer edges of the Travertine to create a rustic and natural aesthetic. This bathroom vanity also features a broken edge backsplash using Ivory, Noche and Walnut Travertine, a vessel sink and stained American Cherry cabinets.

Home design - contemporary home design idea in Jackson

The request from my client for this kitchen remodel was to imbue the room with a rustic farmhouse feeling, but without the usual tropes or kitsch. What resulted is a beautiful mix of refined and rural. To begin, we laid down a stunning silver travertine floor in a Versailles pattern and used the color palette to inform the rest of the space. The bleached silvery wood of the island and the cream cabinetry compliment the flooring. Of course the stainless steel appliances continue the palette, as do the porcelain backsplash tiles made to look like rusted or aged metal. The deep bowl farmhouse sink and faucet that looks like it is from a bygone era give the kitchen a sense of permanence and a connection to the past without veering into theme-park design. Travertine bathroom... floor travertine is "golden irox" cut to 9" x 18" tiles and laid in staggered pattern. Shower is 3" x 6" "rustic ivory" travertine in a subway pattern with dove grey field stone for the shower floor. 6" travertine thresholds were used for the curb in the shower. Glass is 3 panels that run floor to ceiling with the exception of the pivot door which is 76" in height.
