Removing a wall between the kitchen and living room brings light and usability to a once closed off, secluded kitchen. Mealtimes become a favorite family time now with a large island with seating for four. The homeowners wanted a more modern feel with a classic touch, and this was achieved with classic white cabinetry topped with leathered granite on the surround and a showstopping Quartz for the island that is a work of art. Playing on textures and finishes, the beveled marble backsplash draws the eyes to the focal point of the room, the mantle style vent hood. Keeping symmetry the star, two Circa Lighting pendants command attention. Not letting style get all the attention, this kitchen lacks no modern conveniences such as a water dispensing station, beverage center, and top of the line appliances. This stunning new kitchen breathes new life to this beautiful home and will grow with this sweet young family.

Bill & Joan's Kitchen is a step out of the ordinary. Their two tone kitchen is separate from base to walls. While, I was at their beautiful home in Milford, MI, I forgot to photograph their matching fireplace and their powder room, but I hope the kitchen pictures will display the style enough

The kitchen is open to the family room and has a wall of glass facing the outside. It features a wonderful Robin Wade live-edge-eat island. The state-of-the-art appliances are from Sub-Zero and Wolf. A hidden door disguises a full walk-in pantry. Kitchens supplied the modern gloss and glass cabinets. An elevator provides easy access to the roof terrace. About these photos: The cabinetry is Mastro Rosolino- our private line of cabinets. The cabinets on the perimeter are painted white, the island is walnut with a stain & glaze. The tops are Honed Dandy Marble by Stone Surfaces in East Rutherford, NJ. The backsplash is "MOS" pattern "Manilla" in marble, the butler's pantry is "art" antiqued mirror in diamond pattern with brushed nickel rosettes overlaid at the corners. The mosaic rug above the stove is calacatta oro, timber grey & lagos blue. Tile by Stratta Tile in Wyckoff, NJ. The flooring was handled by the home owner, it is a hardwood with a medium/dark stain. The appliances are: Sub-Zero BI36R/O & BI36F/O, Wolf 48" Range DF486G, Wolf 30" DO30F/S, Miele DW, GE ZEM200SF microwave, Wolf 30" warming drawer, Sub-Zero 27" warming drawers. The main sink is a 30" Rohl Farm Sink. All lighting fixtures, chairs, other items in the kitchen were purchased separately by the home owner so we have no information on file! This kitchen received a major "face lift" by painting the existing dark cabinets this light gray and adding some new additions as well. The built in desk area became a beverage center with sub-zero refrigerator built in and glass upper cabinets added. The double ovens were replaced with a steam and convection oven and the slide in range and upper cabinets were replaced with a stainless hood and pull out bottom drawers. Pull out trash cabinet and pan cabinet were added as well as a custom built television frame to mount the tv above the refrigerator and also hide away items not used as often, Calcutta gold quartz replaced the old black granite and subway tile replaced the slate back splash. Glass pendants were added over the peninsula and the counter-top was all lowered to counter level. A new paneled curved bar back was added to the peninsula.
