BANKS BED, shown here in King size. Also available in Queen and Cal King. The piece de resistance of any sensual sleep chamber. Our fabulous four-poster with a sleek modern metal frame in rich satin-brass finish. We love the way this bed creates an intimate “room within a room” feeling, while also providing all the comfort of an upholstered bed. The three-panel fabric headboard lets you lean back to read and relax. It works with both our Luxe and Super Luxe mattresses. And it includes a matching fabric box-spring cover. Also shown: our Banks side tables, with elongated drawer pulls in the same satin-brass finish as the bed. The Banks collection includes trembisi-wood tables and chests that are also well suited to pairing with many other pieces in our collection. MILLER BENCH: Tufting and pleating abound... making both Miller Rectangular Bench and Square styles elegant, eye catching additions to a living space and well suited to centering a conversation area. They rest on wood plinth bases, making them look like they’re floating just above the floor. Truly sophisticated “comfortable cocktail tables”-- softer for putting your feet up on and also useful for serving when you put a tray down.

My clients had outgrown their builder’s basic home and had plenty of room to expand on their 10 acres. Working with a local architect and a talented contractor, we designed an addition to create 3 new bedrooms, a bathroom scaled for all 3 girls, a playroom and a master retreat including 3 fireplaces, sauna, steam shower, office or “creative room”, and large bedroom with folding glass wall to capitalize on their view. The master suite, gym, pool and tennis courts are still under construction, but the girls’ suite and living room space are complete and dust free. Each child’s room was designed around their preference of color scheme and each girl has a unique feature that makes their room truly their own. The oldest daughter has a secret passage hidden behind what looks like built in cabinetry. The youngest daughter wanted to “swing”, so we outfitted her with a hanging bed set in front of a custom mural created by a Spanish artist. The middle daughter is an elite gymnast, so we added monkey bars so she can cruise her room in style. The girls’ bathroom suite has 3 identical “stations” with abundant storage. Cabinetry in black walnut and peacock blue and white quartz counters with white marble backsplash are durable and beautiful. Two shower stalls, designed with a colorful and intricate tile design, prevent bathroom wait times and a custom wall mural brings a little of the outdoors in.

Bedroom - large transitional master dark wood floor bedroom idea in New York with gray walls and no fireplace

Echoing the same modern classic feel, we chose a wood frame bed in a grayish wood tone and paired that with medium brown nightstands and a dresser with antique brass details. A dark wood framed bench with beige upholstery sits at the end of the bed. Table lamps made of stone and with brass details, provided just the right touch of sophistication to the space. Matching that is a unique brass chandelier. A dark framed mirror with brass accents is placed above the dresser to provide visual appeal and to give lightness to the space. Finally, an area rug with classical elements gives added warmth to the space.

Custom reclaimed log bed with bent blackened steel side tables. Photography by Manolo Langis
Located steps away from the beach, the client engaged us to transform a blank industrial loft space to a warm inviting space that pays respect to its industrial heritage. We use anchored large open space with a sixteen foot conversation island that was constructed out of reclaimed logs and plumbing pipes. The island itself is divided up into areas for eating, drinking, and reading. Bringing this theme into the bedroom, the bed was constructed out of 12x12 reclaimed logs anchored by two bent steel plates for side tables.

Asher's seamless joinery and beautiful dark-stained walnut veneer are inspired by the design of traditional teak Danish mid-century masterpieces. Crafted from solid wood and delicately sculpted, the frame is beveled with 45 degree edges that fall towards the center, encapsulating the security of the head. At the base, which sits wide above slim tapered solid American walnut legs, the complementary edges gently slope outwards, gradually bringing you down into deeper, dramatic slumber. The Asher Bed is available in King or Queen and is part of a five piece set that completes the classic mid-century modern dream.

This calming primary bedroom is centered around a square skylight positioned above the bed, filling the space with soft natural light. Woven wallpaper behind the headboard adds texture and warmth, complemented by articulating arm wall sconces for a tailored, functional touch. Blue and white bedding is layered with a cozy fuzzy lumbar pillow, while a tufted off-white bench with a black frame sits at the foot of the bed. Wood floors and a traditional off-white rug complete the room, creating a serene and inviting retreat. Photo by Christopher Stark.
