About Us

Registered Landscape Architectural Firm 9th Avenue Designs, LLC was founded on the notion that well designed space can have a profound effect on people. A properly designed space can be the place that you relax after a long day, entertain with your friends and family, it can be the space that just makes you happy. The bad news is that a poorly designed or even a poorly installed space can have the opposite effect on your life. For more than 20 years we have been working for our clients to ensure they are happy to be home. 9th Avenue Designs, LLC is different from a landscape company that focuses on the maintenance and the installation of the project. Those companies tend to have a vested interest in designing a project that will make them the most profit rather than what is best for the client. We are a Landscape Architectural Firm licensed in the state of Ohio (verify any companies license here). We specialize in working with a client to come up with a design that best suits their needs, wants, desires, home architecture, lifestyle and budget. We do not make money off the profit of the installation. After the design is completed we can work with the client to get competitive bids from vetted companies that have proved they are capable of installing a job of your scope. If quality companies are all bidding the same design you can rest assured that you all getting bids that are “apples to apples” if every company is giving prices on different designs there is no way of knowing who is the fairest price. In 2013 our job budgets ranged from $4,500 for remodeled terrace to over a $1,000,000 new installation.

We brought 9th Avenue Design on to handle our backyard pool project. It was a very difficult project with elevation challenges. Pat was awesome! He worked with his team to develop all of the hardscaping: walls, steps, drainage and pavers. He then turned to his landscape team to handle the lighting, irrigation and plantings. The project turned out unbelievable. My family loves it. I would highly recommend 9th Avenue Design to anyone considering a landscape project.

Pat and his team are highest quality and such nice folks. We had a big home project of redoing all landscaping plus adding a deck, outdoor kitchen, patio, and garden beds. Our style was not traditional for northeast Ohio, and we really appreciated Pat going the extra mile to make sure materials we liked (e.g. “tabby” pavers) could withstand the elements in a northern climate. Unlike other landscape architects, he didn’t try to change what we wanted - he actually seemed to enjoy trying to understand what we wanted then make it happen beautifully. Work with Pat, and you won’t be disappointed!

Pat came HIGHLY recommended and he did not disappoint us whatsoever. He listened to us first, then gave us some ideas and between what we originally discussed plus his "flavor" our yard became very Beautiful! I would give the same HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to anyone asking for someone with Pat and his team's expertise!

Could not be happier and more pleased with Pat and 9th Avenue! Pat was very creative in his designs, and we love what he came up with. He is very easy to work with, and most importantly, when Pat says he'll do something, it gets done. On time and as promised. We could not be happier, and highly recommend him for any size job. Our job was quite large, from design, to landscaping, sod, irrigation, tree moving, wall building, brick laying and more, and every aspect was completed with attention to detail and as promised.

Pat Beam, with 9th Avenue Design has created the most beautiful flowering design you could ever dream of....He does not do traditional, boring shrubs, he is a masterful landscape designer who dreams in color. Our home is breathtaking, but the landscaping brought the structure to life and enhanced its beauty...If you LOVE flowers, and the WOW factor....(9th Avenue Design in Cleveland Ohio is your company). A pleasure to work with, you hate the job to end.
