We have always wanted to build a custom home but never felt comfortable with anyone until we met John Merrill Homes. Adam and Dana along with the entire team immediately took us in and helped to ease our minds with what can be an overwhelming project. Adam and Dana together were able to guide us through the process and always willing to answer questions no matter how many we had. Adam is very professional and a great communicator with time lines and the ins and outs of what is taking place. Dana is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful always guiding us in the right direction in all stages of the process, especially design. We loved getting to know them through the build. They do incredible work building homes we are beyond pleased !

After living in our last hime for 34 years it was a little scary venturing into a new project and adding waterfront which was new to us. Adam’s team built our beautiful home with professionalism to reflect our lifestyle.

Everyone has always told my husband and myself that having a house built is one of the most stressful things you could ever do. Well I would have to agree with them. It seemed to be very difficult to find a builder that we could have faith in and that would help to put our thoughts and dreams together until we met with Adam and Dana Merrill of John Merrill Homes. From the first meeting with Adam and his team they made us feel at ease and truly listened to what we tried to explain to him and describe as our dream home. When we sat down with him again he had put together an amazing plan for us and totally got what our vision was. Everyone was great, even from the beginning with the design team they set us up with. They helped us make selections and guided us in the right direction for our vision, as well as the build team themselves through the entire process. They were there for us for all of our silly questions and of course some panic questions and were very patient with us. We had many friends and family see the build from the ground up and so many people were impressed by the true quality build that Adam brings to his homes. We are in the home of our dreams and Adam and his team made it a wonderful experience and has built us a home not just a house, we can’t thank John Merrill Homes enough for helping us make our dream home come true and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking to build a home.

We were fortunate to work with Adam Merrill and John Merrill Homes on the design and construction of our coastal home in South Jax Beach. From helping us secure the best homesite to drawing up the perfect floorplan, Adam worked tirelessly with us on all of the details that go into building a custom home. We especially appreciated his knowledge of best construction practices when building close to the beach. Throughout the process Adam was professional and easy to work with. Adam and his team did a fantastic job building our home. The craftsmanship is 5 star and they made our plans turn out even better than we imagined. When my wife and I decided to build a custom home, we had no idea what we were doing or which builder to use. John Merrill Homes was recommended to us by a friend. We met with Adam Merrill as well as several other builders. What sold us on Adam is how quickly he provided a proposal but more importantly is that the proposal included everything we discussed. He totally paid attention to what we wanted in our house and did not try to push us to something he wanted to do. Once we hired John Merrill Homes to build our house, the experience only got better. John Merrill Homes utilizes Builder Trend which allowed us to follow everything that was going on with the house. The schedule for constructing the house was posted to set our expectations. There were very few changes to the schedule but when there was one, we were told it would change and received an explanation as to why. Adam Merrill was very responsive to all our request. He was very patient with our questions and always took the time to answer each question in detail. He accommodated all the changes we requested as we progressed through the building of the house. He made numerous recommendations for the finishing of the house that really added a phenomenal look to the house. Adam was always available to us – it didn’t matter when we called, he answered. If he was not going to be available for some reason he would always let us know ahead of time and for how long (which was rare). I could go on and on because building this house was truly a wonderful experience. I can’t say enough about how easy Adam Merrill made this undertaking. Also, the other thing that makes me extremely happy I picked John Merrill Homes to build my house is the response I have received from them since we have moved in the house. Even though the house is finished and we have completely paid for the house, when we call them to ask a question or have a concern about something with the house they respond to us very quickly and even come over to the house to respond to us.

This company was amazing! Personal and professional. Always addressed my needs, was able to make changes as needed, and easy to contact. Would recommend to anyone!
