Aero Kitchen and Bath

Ronal and his team revamped a kitchen and master bath in a condo we own in Vancouver. We used Houzz reviews to select a few contractors since we reside out of province. We were living on site during the construction and were impressed with Ronal's thoroughness and the contractors he used. We had a tight timeline and the job was finished on time as planned. Kitchen and bathroom really improved the value and look of the condo. Very glad we undertook the project. We were very happy with the result and would use Aero kitchens again.

I was very optimistic about this team, particularly given the great reviews on here. However, after almost a month after coming by, they still haven't sent me quotes or options. very disappointing.

Aero Kitchen and Bath did a fantastic job gutting and renovating our two bathrooms. They were very experienced and knowledgeable about the current trends and range of available products. We especially want to thank them for their professionalism and patience when unexpected issues arose. Did a renovation for the whole house including kitchen, bathrooms and floor. Cabinets look good. Ronal and Venish are friendly and resourceful. Trades were good and worked hard. The project took one more month to finish than we expected and the costs were also running higher. However, we are very happy about the final outcome. We will recommend this company.

Aero Kitchen and Bath was a fabulous company to work with.-very patient, accommodating and skilled at what they do. The workmanship was terrific as was the quality of product they used. We had chosen natural cherry. for the kitchen and maple for laundry and bathrooms. It looks amazing. Right from the beginning, we were impressed with the Aero Kitchen dream team. Ronal and Vinesh were very patient throughout the process, listening to what we wanted, and offering great suggestions along the way. They were also equally resourceful when trouble shooting a more complicated reno install and when fine tuning finishing details. In addition, Aero Kitchens had excellent follow up to ensure all was done to perfection even after the job was paid in full. I would not hesitate to recommend Aero Kitchens. They excellent to work with and offer a fantastic product for a reasonable price.

I usually don't do reviews but I'm so happy with my kitchen n bath that I had to write this.. We had a new baby coming at the time and wanted a fresh home fresh start..Ronal Was very kind and professional... Of course it didn't all go as planned but Ronal dealt with all our concerns head on.. No shotty work here.

We hired Ronal and Vinesh in spring 2015 to renovate our kitchen, ensuite, hall bath and then do some additional tile on two small landings and a basement bath (which also included some new drywall and paint).We were assured they could work with both our timeframe and our budget and this is unfortunately the area that was most problematic. There were typical supplier and other issues which I'm not touching on below. Trades (4 stars) For the most part, electrical, plumbing and tile work was very good. Tristan was a pleasure to be around and was very diligent in his attention to detail. Only one tradesperson to do all three did definitely impact the project timeline negatively. Most drywall work (which Tristan didn't do) was patch and sand and there were some problems and a few cases of redo. Finishing (3 stars) The finishing in the kitchen was generally fine; in the upstairs bathrooms, less so. A general labourer (Jerry) did some of the finishing work and, frankly, it was often substandard. Initial installation of kitchen cabinet doors was crooked, large gaps in baseboard grouting, and even the wrong colour caulking in the bathroom in places. When applying caulking around bathroom basins, tile edging, shower doors, etc, he left large finger smears all over the place (only noticed after they finished). I've had to since re-caulk it myself after laborious removal. There were also other problems such as missing hardware, broken laundry doors and whatnot, discovered after the fact, easily avoidable with more attention to detail. Project management (2 stars) When we hired them, we made clear the date by which we absolutely needed to be done. While they made the date, literally at the last day, we had originally asked them to be done at least a few days in advance so we could clean before we were off on vacation, and they felt they'd be done early anyway. They seemed really time crunched as the project had been originally a 6 week engagement, which ballooned to 9. They also started a week later than planned. As far as I'm aware, not once did Ronal ever do any kind of timeline planning or use any standard processes such as plugging actuals into estimates and revising. Budget management (1 star) We started at a $53k estimate with some uncosted things. We expected it to be as high as $60k and had verbally indicated we could go NO higher than $65k on several occasions. After multiple requests, we received the 'midpoint' invoice 5 weeks in (ironically the actual midpoint) and it was already at $64k. I pressed Ronal for a reason why and got mostly silence and avoidance. He assured me that there were few additional costs left. Knowing we would now not even come in at $65k, I told him to be VERY diligent for the remainder of the project. We even reduced scope in the basement to keep the budget as low as possible. The final invoice came in at $74k, nearly 25% over $60k and nearly 15% more than we indicated our limit was. We had a lot of communication back and forth (mostly from us ) to negotiate a reduction. Claiming 'unforeseen costs' as the reason, Ronal offered a list of things that were actually in the estimate and had either gone up or not had a proper cost assigned to them, with zero rationale why. The only truly unforeseen costs in the project were some additional kitchen sub-floor and tile leveling, and straightening of frame materials for our ensuite. These additional costs had all been in the midpoint invoice, so the additional $10k from that point to final invoice was, in our minds, just poor budget management. Not once did Ronal ever take actual costs and plug them into the estimate and provide regular updates, except for the midpoint, by which time our materials were all purchased. Ronal ended up reducing the invoice by $2500, claiming they couldn't do more because "we've never given a larger discount." A 3-4% 'make good' when you mismanage a project to double its timeline and go 25% over budget isn't really acceptable. However, as we simply wanted to be done, we weren't about to get into a protracted dispute. In closing ... We had already sourced a number of materials ourselves; bathroom vanities, fixtures, lighting fixtures, etc. Had we known where the budget was going with some lead time, we could have changed materials we purchased and saved some money that way. As they were so far over time on our project, there wasn't even a final walkthrough to itemize remaining deficiencies together. Due to the very poor budget and project management work, and less than ideal finishing quality, there is no way I'd ever recommend Aero to anyone.

Aero Kitchen and Bath completed a main floor renovation for us including gutting our 30+ year old kitchen and creating a modern, open concept living space. They were timely, professional, and flexible. I really appreciated how Ronal tailored the design to meet our requests and needs, quickly sending me new drawings with the updates. The job site was kept clean which was important to us as a young family with a toddler and baby. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again.

Great family to work with. Mr. Sami the dad made sure he was always present on our project and over-looking things himself. As expected, things weren't 100% smooth sailing but these guys worked with it and made sure the job was done to our liking. Even after a year, they returned without hesitation to fix things for us.

Aero Kitchen & Bath made the renovation of our condo kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities a great, stress-free experience. From planning and design, to materials and installation, to quality and price, they continually kept our personal ideas and best interests in the forefront. Through every stage of the renovation, Vinesh, Ronal, and Dad were an absolute pleasure to work with; attentive, reliable and punctual. They openly shared their knowledge and experience to guide us through the decision process, and steered us away from making some bad choices. They worked patiently with us in customizing our cabinets to incorporate our functional needs and to express our particular style. Our kitchen had presented special challenges with water pipes exposed along the ceiling, the sink drain cutting across a wall corner and the ceiling unlevelled with the floor. However, Aero was able to make modifications to the cabinetry and adjustments to the installation for a flawless look. The superb customer service was further reflected in the professionalism and courtesy of their onsite work crew (Tristan, et al). We are extremely happy with our finished kitchen and bathrooms, and feel very lucky that we had continued our long search of kitchen trades until we had finally met Aero. We would endorse Aero Kitchen & Bath to anybody, and recommend Aero Kitchen & Bath to everybody.

Our kitchen renovation started out to be a 3 day job but expanded considerably to deal with issues resulting from renovations done by previous owners. The additional costs were reasonable and fair. Expert advice from Aero staff was extremely helpful when making choices on the expanded renovation as well as those that inevitably come up during any renovation. Aero staff and sub trades were all extremely professional, engaging, respectful and helpful, and fun to work with. Their workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. We would recommend their services to anyone and we will be engaging them for our bathroom renovation next summer!

I would highly recommend Aero for your renovations. They 'redid' my apartment: kitchen, 2 bathrooms, painting, fireplace refinish, and new baseboards. And, they did high quality, conscientious, work at a very fair price. I received quotes from 4 other companies and their estimate was considerably over what Aero quoted and in some cases with lower grade materials. The brothers are also superb to work with: excellent communication and service (I always knew what was happening/changes to be made and had input. They will even take you shopping to help you learn about the material choices); accommodating (made efforts to stay within my budget and took on extra tasks as requested), caring (they want you to be happy!), and just very nice people on top of it. If I were to do any renovations again, this family-run company would be my first choice! Thank you Ronal and Vinesh.

A Satisfied Customer -- Aero Kitchen is an all family company with excellent specialists in the fields of plumbing, construction,electricity, flooring, and are competent in all areas of house renovations. Their specialty is custom cabinetry. My kitchen was transformed from an older non-workable kitchen to a larger, modern, serviceable work space. The utilities were moved strategically at our request and funds were saved by replacing upper cupboard doors with new better quality Shaker doors. Drawers and a new quartz counter top replaced the lower cabinets. They are able to work on and complete many different tasks simultaneously. During my kitchen reno my flooring was changed throughout my entire house. Throughout demolition, construction, and the ups and downs of renovations, everyone in the employ of Aero Kitchen were courteous, showed initiative in suggestions to do a better job in many areas, cleaned the area each day when they left, and collected and removed all waste as best they could. My kitchen renovation took only six weeks to complete. It would have been done even sooner if there hadn't been the unexpected delays in production, required drying time, etc. There were many days when they did not leave until late into the evening when preparing a specific stage of remodeling. I would highly recommend employing Aero Kitchen for any renovation work one may require.

After I complained about scratches on the floors, the employees started to systematically sabotage the work they had already completed. By the time I realized what they were doing for revenge I had: dents in the SS microwave, SS stove, dryer, two in the metal back door, one in the metal front door and slashes made with a box-cutter on the SS fridge and the SS dishwasher as well as numerous box cutter slashes on the engineered flooring they had installed. There were also obvious and deliberate "mistakes" to the floor tile laid in the main bathroom to which I was , by this time, too intimidated to complain about!!! NEVER EVER hire this company. By the time I realized what had happened I had already given them an excellent review which I now take back in spades!

We just had Aero Kitchen and Bath "refresh" our kitchen for us. The existing layout worked, but we had the cabinet doors and drawers refaced and had a new quartz counter replace the old laminate one. The crew was very friendly, efficient and great to work with. They were always punctual and cleaned up after themselves every day. Being without a kitchen can be very inconvenient, but Aero minimized the number of days we were without. We would recommend Aero Kitchen and Bath to our friends and family without hesitation.

We visited many Kitchen renovating suppliers, and felt the most comfortable with Aero Kitchens. The work was generally done on time, and the workers were clean, professional and always kept us up to date on any issues. Home renovations rarely go as planned, but the guys at Aero were always helpful and courteous throughout the build. I would highly recommend them.

Our kitchen counters were replaced which included a new sink and moving and island. The job was done on time and within budget and they were great to deal with. There were some problems with the levelling of the counter due to incorrect installations by the original installers and Aero Kitchen went above and beyond to both level the counter and make it sturdier than it had been. The also brought the plumbing up to code and fixed the cabinets so the drawers worked better

We hired Aero Kitchen and Bath for two renovations. The two brothers and their team were very friendly and were able to provide us with everything we asked for in both the kitchen and two bathrooms. We were happy with the service and the outcome. They were able to accommodate our requests even when we changed our minds part way through the renovations. They worked hard and kept us updated on their progress as well as the progress on items ordered through them.

Had 2 bathrooms renovated. Aero was aware that we had a timeline for completion as I was expecting company. They made the experience as easy as it could possibly be. They called and showed up when they said they would. If there was a question or a problem they called asap to get our input. They were flexible with small changes that came up and when having to work with another contractor who was working for us outside. They timed the project to make sure we had one working shower available through the project. They worked long hours to complete the work in time and we are very happy with the outcome. The made to order cabinets are wonderful. The tiling was well done. And a bonus! How many contractors do you know that tell you to live with the project for a week and they will be back to see you about any concerns and to collect the final payment.!! They gave us an accurate quote, and when they had to alter the quote because of added work, they let us know in advance what the extra cost would be The workmanship was excellent They worked around our schedule and within the Strata Rules We are hiring them again for another job

We had our bathroom and kitchen completely rebuilt from scratch in our condo. We hired Aero Kitchen because they came highly recommended and they were the best by far of the 3 quotes we received. The first quote was from a major home improvement chain. The second was from a contractor utilizing pre-fabricated purchased cabinetry which would have not quite fit (come up short) in our space. Aero Kitchen's quote was lower and presented custom built cabinetry, counters and tiling. In addition to being the best value, they were honest, sincere and accommodating. From the time leading up to and throughout the project, they kept demonstrating their integrity and accountability. They were very thorough in working and reworking the quote as well as keeping us updated and informed along the way. We gave them a hard deadline of 14 days and a fixed budget. They met both! In fact they were done 1 day ahead of schedule!!!! We would highly recommend Aero Kitchen for whatever degree of work needed.
